  1. Yep - can you PM me the info pls? Worth it for the glass alone, new glass demists so much better than old ones!
  2. Hi all, I urgently need some front upper spring plates (the metal saucer between the spring and top mount / bearing) These need to be the smaller type to take the springs with the smaller pig tail but also have the flat top to take the MK3 / VR6 type bearing / topmount. Anyone got a spare pair??
  3. They are standard Corrado 280mm mate, not 288's
  4. We banned him after various complaints - if you look on other forums he's ripped people off all over the place, we warned our CGTI and E38 contacts too.

  6. It's oil based though so no good for engines / sumps really...
  7. it's on the rad, remove the battery for access... it's an imperial size, think plumbing!
  8. Should be sat at 90 all day long... 110 usually means the rad fan thermo-switch has failed. 75-80 usually means the thermostat is faulty / stuck open.
  9. Think about what's changed... bigger calipers so probably wheel weights rubbing
  10. ^I've got a similar blue point one - wasn't expensive, maybe £30 from the Snap-On man Clips here - http://www.zeroclips.com/products/Constant-Tension-Clamps.html
  11. Much cheaper than that when it's on offer - usually £12+vat if you buy 4x5L! They sell Castrol now too - way cheaper than Halfords on trade and Opie oil etc! 10W60 is £19.99 + vat but 4L rather than 5...
  12. I'm sure it's on there too but they have recently changed it again - there is now a new G13 (as opposed to old G13) G013A8JM1
  13. Did you bleed the master last? You should only need to bleed the valves if air has got into the system but i would do them anyway now. Other thing could be as it's all disconnected you may need to power it back up just to get fluid moving and flushed through the ABS. The pedal will be longer with the Brembo's as they'll have a bigger piston area but if it's on the floor then something is wrong.
  14. So you still have the ABS master and valve block? Have you bled the master?
  15. What car is it?? ABS? You are pressure bleeding I take it?
  16. That looks great mate, good to see someone having a go at something different that most would leave to the pro's
  17. Difficult to fit on a late car as the originals are inset into the brackets - you need to drill out and replace with bolts etc Good upgrade though and easy enough for a garage to sort out and fit - mine have lasted 10 years now and exhaust barely moves
  18. Yep - late MK3 Golf Vr6 (with the banjo end)
  19. This is wrong - It's the spring top plates and boots that changed, you just need the correct ones to match the springs when fitting. The top mounts and bump stops are different between base and plus suspension but they fitted the VR6 style stuff to all late cars in the end 8v's and 16v's. This is the part needed to go with the springs - Spring Seat - 2.9 VR6 1991 to 1994 ( upto Chassis no. 50-R-000898 ) Part No: 1H0412341

  21. Yeah - only fit the Girling 60's if you have ABS and hence the bigger master cyl... They are pretty damn heavy too!
  22. Check the fluid and that heat shields are in place and not damaged etc... I take it you were using the clutch a fair amount? I'm wondering if the clutch cylinder is leaking and the fluid level dropped. Also check both brake and clutch masters from inside the car for brake fluid. When was it last changed?? If one caliper is binding you'd smell it walking round the car and that whole wheel would be noticably hot. Don't drive the car until you're sure it's fixed - maybe an internally collapsed hose or corroded line.
  23. Jim, I've got a new LUK one in the garage you can have for £80 if you want?
