    Jesus! Nice to see prices are on the up but I thought the auction price really was top money... Tidy and original car but nothing special really... For that amount you'd want a car with low miles and perfect paint, no rust or signs of bodywork or windscreen replced.

    Do the MK4's fit?? I thought they were much different? Oddly Bosch don't seem to list these blades for the Lupo GTI so you can't buy a set from Halfords etc. The VAG and Bosch part numbers are below though and the pair costs £31.50 inc VAT from TPS Annoying as they used to cost about the same for the arms as well but they do last well... mine are 8 years old! 1J2955425B (- Bosch 3397008240-88M) 6X2955426A (- Bosch 3397008239-88M)

    Hmmm, I've not got a manual for a 92 VR... do you have the instruction manual? Is it a 10 amp? maybe fit a 15 and see if that blows - might indicate if it's a short or just a motor starting to struggle and draw more current.

    What car and year do you have RPoul?? If it's a VR6 then it's the electric water pump.

    Check VW and Classic parts first - some parts are much cheaper new from the dealer or even after postage from Germany.

    Just ask what the spec is... TPS are usually competitive on Oil and they now sell Castrol also...

    Ah - think of it as on off then it makes sense... So... on at 95 then off at 84 and if it gets to 102 the faster speed kicks in and off again at 91 where the fan will still be running at the slow speed.

    That is good for a valver - Just shows the original and tidy examples command the best money! That said, I'm always amazed at how much stuff goes for at auctions - I can't see how traders make any money?

    Only bonnets I've seen damaged by the engine are on the outside when there has been a serious overheat or engine fire... Not sure you'kk need to paint the underside, should be mint once degreased and foam removed etc

    Yep, they're f*cked... you'd want new discs, bearings and ABS rings so all you're paying for is those spacers and postage. Vented conversion is the way to go I reckon!

    You probably can but they're too big and look awful imo...

    Good call - particularly since the change in VOC's have made tyres wear in odd ways, especially on Corrado's as the rear tyres just don't seem to wear out!
