  1. Give Stealth a call - they supply an extra bit that's required to fit to the VR
  2. Really best to buy new if you can... look on carparts4less The G60's use the early clutch master which has bleed nipple so any early car will have the same. Brake fluid res - they are different for ABS cars - again, best to buy new so you can see the level :-)
  3. Fronts are £12.96, Rear are £11.70 (both prices plus VAT)
  4. Both available from VWCP - elbow is about £7 I think
  5. Also interested in the lower brace - will take if RB doesn't please!
  6. I know TPS now do an economy range - not used them but they are cheap - rear pads for under £15
  7. Interesting that - this is why I'd never use a non oem brand filter, heard of Fram oil filters actually exploding and destroying engines!
  8. MK4's run a higher pressure but a mk3 item should be ok I think... Did you prime it properly before running the engine? they sometimes take a bit of driving to settle down and get all the air out the system, find a car park and do some lock to locks etc...
  9. Very odd... which fuse is blowing?? Maybe disconnect the stereo and the spoiler for a bit to test.
  10. Thanks for that Anna... TPS do still sell service parts but it seems that VW have actually made the PG filters obsolete which is pretty poor!
  11. Me please mate - love this show :-) Dodgy 'miss vw' comp too
  12. Might be worth trying a different oil next time like Silkolene - noise might go away...
  13. Just over 8.5 years and 100k miles later I've done the TDI again ready for it's clutch and DMF change in a couple of weeks time... looks a bit different now to the pics on page 2 but you can see it's the same lump. Nice to also read RW1's replies in this thread :-)
  14. It's the same part as fitted to the VR6.
  15. Yeah replace it, especially with the climate where you are... can be so dangerous as it's right above the exhaust manifold! Needs to be good quality hose to bend in the U shape and use proper VW hose clips, not ones that can be over tightened etc
  16. You might need to get a nut splitter on it...
  17. Yep, not rare at all - still available new!
  18. As above - has to be faulty I think as the handbrake should mechanically lock it... On a lift with a torch you should see the piston moving the pads and the handbrake lever visably move.
  19. ??? - Or this 312mm conversion on either car as no MC upgrade needed... Brakes are still great and have done 65k miles now... will need new discs on the next pad change later this year.
  20. ISV may have been replaced with the steeper motor throttle if it's a 2.8 OBD2 engine? So maybe there was condensation in the tank and it cut out as a bit of water went through the system... annoying as you've not lost confidence, especially after cutting out on the M25 but it might not happen again...
  21. May have just been gunk or water in the fuel tank... maybe fill it with optimax and give it another run... 30 mins is quite a while but could be heat related I guess...
  22. Sean - His name has now popped up on club gti and edition38 with more related issues
