  1. Due to complaints on here and on other forums more recently we've banned Swampy with immediate effect. S'Charged
  2. TPS price is around the same - £7.55 but they sometimes do a promotion of 10% off oil filters... 89>95 2.9 VR6 021115562 £14.80 £7.55
  3. All 4-stud cars used 195's - good because they are cheeeep! I bought some Uniroyal Rainsport 2's earlier this year for £29 each.
  4. Was a great weekend guys and hope everyone got home ok! Knackered today!!
  5. http://www.vwspares.co.uk/corrado_gaskets.php
  6. Mike - the place I was on about in Ipswich recently quoted a guy I work with £1900 for installation (not including the burner) and he lives in a bungalow!! I think it's the Health and Safety b*llocks that you're paying for - scaffolding etc
  7. I guess the Nyloc is there as they lowered the torque setting from 265Nm to 50Nm - the 6 side not was a lock-nut
  8. Worth getting the genuine bottom nuts and bolts along with the metal clip that holds the bottom but in place inside the beam
  9. http://www.vwspares.co.uk/product_info.php?products_id=502 VAG part numbers on that page, no bearings at the rear...
  10. GSF used to list new ones at fairly decent prices IIRC
  11. Yep - either get from TPS or i'd stick with Standard Sachs or LUK from Euro or VWspares http://www.vwspares.co.uk/corrado_clutch.php
  12. That drive shaft seems way too cheap - I reckon i'd rather fit a second hand genuine part to be honest...
  13. I'm not sure they were numbered tbh... it was on page 188 but I couldn't be arsed to spend the £10 - it's just another book full of recycled stuff from other books.
  14. Si - they are the same company... just if you buy from Carparts4less it saves all the bullsh1t with discount codes etc as there prices are virtually trade.
  15. The Book People are in at work today and they had the above book... It's a bit crap to be honest but nice to see the Corrado featured (as it rightly should) http://www.thebookpeople.co.uk/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/qs_product_tbp?productId=412490&storeId=10001&catalogId=10051&langId=100&searchTerm=cool+500
  16. Sometimes... they can fail in an odd way and break up inside but generally no...
  17. Is it no longer available? Usually if the rubber needs replacing you can just buy a generic one and fit it using a nut and bolt
  18. 57.1mm But as they are standard you won't need any :-)
  19. I think the pumps driven off a serpentine belt always feel better - less chance of slip even if the plastic cover is still present... Old fluid is another thing to look out for on cars of this age and I think dead top mounts can also make steering heavy. Don't forget the obvious though - check tyre pressures reguarly and wide after-market wheels will always 'feel' heavy
  20. Yeah you press until they are fully down but be careful not to leave any metal behind... tbh I would take the bits to a friendly garage and have a bit of beer cash on you and just ask for them to press them in for you with a proper press - should take 15mins or so
