I phoned GSF but they dont list a rack for the VR6. I phoned back a few days later with the VW part number and low and behold they have three on the shelf. £210+vat. Work that one out????

You could have your leg bitten off by a passing wolf? You could have a heart attack because of the shock and surprise of something on your Corrado actually working as advertised? PMSL thats the funniest thing ive read all week

Ive been looking at a big brake kit for my VR. The guy says you need 50-55mm clearance from the brake disc face to the wheel spoke. Whereabouts should i take the measurement from? Is it at the bottom of the disc close to the wheel bolts or further up?

Yes pal that would have been me. I hardly ever use it for work but fancied giving it a blast yesterday. I work in Long Marston but live in Solihull. Whereabouts do you live? -
They now own AMD too.

My VR needs a new steering rack and they are £481 from VAG. Ive tried GSF but they dont list one. I spoke to a guy in the parts dept at VW and he said Golf VR6 and Corrado VR6 racks have the same part number. You can buy a Golf VR rack from GSF so thats nearly sorted the problem. The only thing is now ive spoken to Vince at Stealth and hes sure the two racks are different? Could anyone have a look on ETKA and check for me?

Yeah thats exactly what ive been thinking. Finding some could be tricky though. I have thought about seeing if anyone wants to swap with my RX for a set. They are only 4 months old. -
Yeah they are for driving. Only when the weathers good though

Ill be putting mine in one of the hangars at work for the winter very soon.

Cheers. Its a BMC carbon dynamic airbox. Id say they are one if not the best induction kit for the VR. A lot of the VR owners on this forum have one. It sounds quiet when tootling around but growls when you really floor it. They are about £160. I got mine from Stealth racing. -
I spotted this earlier. Absolutely awesome. Cant believe weve never seen it before.

Thought its about time i got some new pictures up. Most of this was fitted yesterday. New VAG radiator, expansion tank and cap, Samcos, Gruven radiator neck and crackpipe. The only part of the cooling system not renewed now is the aux water pump. Gruvenparts radiator neck Gruvenparts serpentine belt tensioner Supersprint exhaust -
When Stealth did my water pump Vince got one from GSF as they always have metal impellers.

Good to meet you yesterday Bobby. Your cars going to be awesome on the road. Look forward to a ride in it  -
Any updates here?
-
Does anyone know a reasonably priced supplier of these? I can only find genuine VAG at the moment and they are close to £400.
-
Lovely. Id like some RC's at some point. Get your door handles painted.
-
If its a really good car then id pay £6500. I paid a bit more than that for mine.
-
How did you get them so cheap?
-
Ah i see. I was under the impression that the calipers were virtually the same as the 312's except they are twin piston.
-
As the title suggests. My car has 7.5x17 et 35 BBS RX. Is there no chance or could it be done?

Vince tweaked me old monza blue 16v to 154bhp. It was standard apart from a Supersprint exhaust and K&N panel filter.

VR6 cooling system refurb-Have i missed anything?
MK1Campaign replied to MK1Campaign's topic in Engine Bay
Thermostat was done about 12 months ago. Ill leave the matrix till it blows i think. Will make a very expensive job if thats done as well at the same time. -
Im having a new radiator fitted in a few weeks at Stealth. I have the following parts, VAG radiator, Gruvenparts rad neck and crack pipe, VAG header tank and cap, sensor that screws in the bottom of radiator, belt that runs between two fans and a set of Samcos. Is there anything i have missed thats worth doing at the same time? I had a new water pump, serpentine belt and Gruvenparts belt tensioner fitted at the last service.

As everyone says the 20v turbo versions are very fast but come on they must be one of the worst looking cars out there. You never see a straight one. They always look clattered down the sides.
