Thanks again guys, ok iv already got a full system on it and airbox drilled etc so how much would i be for a 2L 9A bottom end?is it a straight swap? how much for the porting and polishing of the heads and inlet exhaust manifold? the larger inlet manifold-is it the 50mm one from the mk2 16v gti? also is it a straight swap and price? the dowm pipe from the g60 or 2L16v is that a straight swap onto my engine and exhaust? thanks for the help and i appreciate that u prob wont know the prices but a rough idea would be great. cheers Fraser

Sounds like ur pressure switch thers two on the filter housing.Disconect the wire from either one or the other and switch the car on,Giv it some revs,if the buzzer doesnt come on it needs replacing.But if the buzzer does come on itl be the other one that needs replacing! savey? Happened on mine twice,easiest way to check it.Let me know how u get on-part numbers are on them-need good eyes though.Try scrapys for new ones most vws have the same switches! hope it works out ok Fraser

they would start off buy testing the pressure then changing the switch then pumps etc nodoubt-just tell them wat uv told us.iv put too new switches in mine inside a yr,so dont be surprised if thats all it is.but as aposegil and zerok66 said its def worth while getting the pumps changed!! iv got the 16v so not the best person to follow.should imagine vr is much the same.

cheers for the replys guys.all a little over my head-is the kr engine the 1.8 16v like mine or 2.0?also for any parts mentioned would it be possible to have a rough price guide/where they can be bought and code numbers. whats a gas flowed head? iv modded the air box and the cars already on a full supersprint system. always liked carbs and throttle bodies but there expensive-any other options? cheers for your help this will be an ongoing project as money allows,hopefully get it in the car in the summer.mibby b4 the trackday! cheers fraser

henny,think im going to be smart too.the bonnet on the car is pre 92?the bumpers arnt-so we could be looking at a hybrid car.surely the saftey lights on the side of the bumper would be lit since the side lights are on? this is confusing me now

One of the things i like about the corrado is the Solid look it has about it!just cant be beaten! in a way i kind of hope VW never build a new version of the C cause theyl prob mess it up-unless they come to us guys!

jim,did u really start this topic to find out how hard it is to fit corrado or jetta lights on a golf?i think not-i think u started it to find somit else out-and if so iv also been thinking of doing this to my c,as it certainly would look the dogs b******S! but the question still remains?

ok couple of points.has anyone got pics of razor alloys on a corrado-think the burgandy supercharged VR has them but cant find any pics.would like to see pics of a corrado with vortex alloys on it too.is i possible to fit 17s on the front and 18s on the back of a 1.8 16v no coilovers or anything-completely standard. sizes would be 205/40/17 and 225/40/18 not sure about the offsets. also thinking of putting audi rs4 alloys on a mk3 gti cos im can get them at a good price-does anyone know of anyone with a mk3 golf running 18s think size is 225/40/18.there are no coilovers either,still standard.cheers. also also does anyone know of a company that makes bbs replica alloys-cos the real thing cos a fortune!! thanks for any replies

Hi there,iv got the 1.8 16v and it pulls alot harder and faster than the 2.0 in my mums mk3 golf.i looked at the two 2.0 models aswell and choose the 1.8 because its the best engine out of the three by far!my dad used to have a 1.8 8v in a mk2 gti and it was always solid too!

Mine is the red c (H** URR) sitting at the end next to Clarks storm in each of the pics in tesco's car park.good to see pics of them altogether-and see the subtle differences between them all.
