Anyone know their Porsche's? I was checking out this 968 on Autotrader and nice as it is, I'm not sure that it's a Club Sport as advertised. Everything seems ok except colour wasn't a CS option, I think? Seats are different too? Long shot but worth a go... Cheers. http://www.autotrader.co.uk/image-galle ... rd-listing

We know what you drive!!! What do you do???

How did you manage to get there ?? I was made redundant two and a half years ago, emu, but I was already leaving the job to start with FSR as a ticket examiner to 'get a foot in the door' as I had wanted to be a Driver for some time. As soon as I was past my probation period I started to apply for Driver jobs, schmooze HR, and finally last year got the position. -

Train Driver for First ScotRail. Just about to be 'passed out' next week so some interesting times ahead... -
I have missed this series...has it been on long? I can't believe the Corrado has never been on WD's. It's a really good little show but they're showing the same cars now. Beetles and Campervans etc.

Show some respect for the Ireland crew!!

A friend was talking about the price of beer and so on in Ireland where he's off to next weekend. Is the average wage higher than UK? Like 60k a year? It would need to be at that rate. How can people afford to live? -
what car would you swap for your corrado?

prodrive_2_aston_engineering.jpg[/attachment:mk9le7ww] Prodrive P2. Not bleedin' likely though. It's a prototype from TopGear ages ago. -
i think it's hard for Corrado interior shots to look good now, most seem to really date the car but that looks superb.

Tell Us 3 Interesting Things About Yourself

 I think even I could lift that much! It was my dad who knocked me off the chair... What is it with dads? when my sister was about 2, she was on her bike/trike thing, and my dad was pulling her along on it, pulled her straight into a pothole, she came over the handlebars and knocked two teeth out  Then around the same age, he was swinging her round in circles by her arms and dislocated her shoulders :\ She has extremely elastic ligaments, it's a genetic trait which unfortunately I have too, but not quite as bad as her[/quote:1cvmaola] Just be careful when you're on your trike and Dad's about or whatever, ok? -
Heh heh. Rock bottom...you'll know it when you get there. I've been there and I swore I wouldn't drink again. Too bad. :morning:
-
Heh he... thanks Craigowl, will be setting about this and my engine bay, , in the next few days. I may be gone for some time...
-
cheers, will give these a go then.

Oh dear...some 'opinions' on the great car.

Mig, Performance Vauxhalls? Christ. That's almost as bad as Detailing World. I shouldn't be too harsh, it's fine for young shavers I suppose. Those are exactly the type of comments I would expect from these people. We, as Corrado owners, are genetically disposed to class. We know that 0-60 times aren't the be all and end all, hence why we don't drive Novas/Corsas/Vectras/  that can do 0-60 in 1 second but you'd die if anyone you'd ever spoken to saw you in one. -
My Driver-side door card currently looks all of its 15 years. The plastic trim/speaker cover is covered with boot polish, dirt etc from getting in out with clown feet on. What's the best way to clean these?

The "what I did to my Corrado today" thread...

New 288 mm brakes, wheel bearing kit, brake pipes. My car is almost unrecognizable. Gone is the wooly steering and unbearable road noise. Tight. :awesome: -
Cheers all.

So I can use mk 4 callipers, hoses, carriers and mark 3 discs and that will be ok then? isnt there a size difference with mk 3 callipers and mark 4? Id hate to fcuk this up even more.
-
Thanks lads. Are the hoses from mark 3 too I take it?
-
Thanks. So could you tell me definitively, I'm fighting for my cars life with the missus at the mo'!, What do I need exactly? I have the callipers carriers and discs from golf mk4. Discs no good. I need front discs from mk 3 late, what years? What else do I need? spacers, hoses? I'm clueless as you can tell. Need help on this guys. All I wanted was a straight forward upgrade to 288mm. Failed the MOT today to boot. :help:
-
My mechanic is fitting my Golf mark 4 front brake discs 288mm, carriers and callipers to my vr6 with some problems. He's saying the discs arent fitting over the hub, anyone help in this matter please , I thought it would be reasonably straightforward?

Whats the best part of having a v6 rado
TheWizardofOdds replied to Dragon666's topic in General Car Chat
Knowing that your car hasn't had a dime spent on it since last MOT, it's not had a drop of fresh oil in many months, nor a wash. There's rust, scratches, scuffs, blisters, two candles up front, a loud droning sound like you wouldn't believe from inside the car, having to throw the doors to close them, rattling windows, buzzes, sunroof long gone, dents, cream leather that's way past it's best, and much much more that I could mention besides but still it runs daily, unquestioningly. :shades: -
Does anyone have any idea how much?
-
How much are a pair of VR6 calipers for the front from dealers?(assuming they are still available?) Thanks.
