  1. I'm new to these mags, having bought PVW a handful of times. I had a 'browse' last month and it had Audi's all over it. Ok, Audi/VAG and all that, but for me VW is VW, not Audi. It would be good to see a few more of the cars from this site in it though, there's certainly a few worthy contenders. Let's keep the fat lads with their wacky Mayan ear-piercings to a minimum.
  2. Isn't his real name Timothy?..that say's it all for me.His voice irritates the schitt out of me.
  3. It's all good.Loved that Pro-Drive that was on TopGear last series, think it was called P1.
  4. The clues may be there, but so is the badge wot says 'Corrado'. I think we all respect/champion the Sciroccos here, I certainly haven't come across the supposed snootiness that Tempest has alluded to (Bless his evangelical fervour for all things 'rocco). 8)
  5. Good clean C you've got there by the look of it. I've never been one for the TT alloys on the Corrado, they just don't look right to me.
  6. DanVW, If it's any consolation; Jason Donovan's a really nice bloke.
  7. I'm Corradisti, not a 'dubber. I don't have the loyalty to VW that others might(Golfs for instance, don't give me wood). Why is it that anytime there's a dissagreement on this forum there is a call for the mods to 'lock it up'..it's still a forum, innit?
  8. Good man. Most people seem hell-bent on putting massive tyres on their cars at the moment,it's not always a good look. Congrats on the MK1.
  9. Careful, matey  There are die-hard Rocco-fanatics on here, and last but not least, the C was intended as the Mk3 Rocco, so you're driving one, too :-) But I agree, I personally don't have high hopes for anything exciting from VW anymore, now that the management is totaly changed, and I believe VW's cars are no longer to clash with Audi, Porsche et al, who all belong to the same group, but under severe control now of both Porsche (shares, Wiedeking), and Audi (Winterkorn heading VW). Tempest Looking at it,my post reads harshly.I'm a fan of all three models quoted-but in earlier guises.Being the inveterate Corradisti that I am,I'm sure you'll forgive me my preferance 8).
  10. That was his second mistake. He's at it-how dare he take it so lightly. The C**t has damaged your car and it needs paying for.You can be sure if it was him on the receiving end of this, you'd be in 'cuffs. Please don't interpret any animosity towards the guardians of our safety in my post.I'd hate that.
  11. It's 'rolled' don't you know.What next?..eyebrow spoilers,crystal rear cluster etc.Although they would probably sell billions.
  12. Yip.Can't they put them in a rally car and over the welsh WRC course?..I'll pay the insurance.Didn't see last nights show, but last weeks Jamie Oliver piece was a borefest.Still, love the show.
  13. I love Banzai.. It's all a con,no doubt-we're so gullable(sp?).I buy BP Ultimate religiously-can I tell the diff?-No. Do I get more wotsits per thingys?-probably not. It's like buying free-range eggs or whatever;you know you're being conned but paying extra as you are,it makes you feel ok about it.
  14. That joint has been out so long it's now dated. A while ago I thought that it would be the dogs' conkers if VW brought out a new Corrado. Now,my thinking has changed completely(unless they start putting the exact same models into production-as if). They aren't capable.1988+ is a lifetime away,VW couldn't produce a stylish car if their lives depended on it.Everything's too safe with the fat Golfs at the mo'. Enjoy your Corrados,VW would rather reprise inferior models;Jetta,Scirocco,Bora.
  15. I have the same problem.Got mine fitted about a year ago by some cowboy. The volt reading is fine but the oil pressure is also off the scale-10+.I'm going to have to get it done again.
  16. Very nice, well done. I love Alfas, the interior is quality.
  17. Love it.Lookin' really fresh. The plastics seem to be very clean too.I say this because with mine(cream leather too)the area around the gaitor and door panels are very jaded looking.Did they paint/dye this too?
  18. All US cars were fitted with these kind of bumpers as far as I'm aware.I've come round to them and am thinking of getting a US bumper for my C.Would this be difficult to do? I think they give the car a more modern feel(as opposed to euro-style),but still retro at the same time.
  19. Had this sorted today.Turns out the drivers'-side sensor was done for and needed a new one(£49).Now on start -up,the light comes on then goes out as it should. The groaning/grinding was discs and pads(rear)knackered apparently. So,all in all 200 bucks-I can live with that. Next..
  20. There was an article in the paper yesterday about a town in Holland which has taken away all the nonsense associated with town driving-and how it's benefited the area.No traffic lights/speed-bumps/railings etc. and all of a sudden this is the thing to do.Not before time. There is so much today that is unneccesary;traffic lights every 50 yards,round-a-bouts all over the place etc.It absolutely does my head in when I'm stopped at lights on a dead road at 3 in the morning constantly.
  21. The Corrado's stealth factor is 11.There are very few people today who know what it is,but the ones that do-invariably have only good things to say about it.As you've already said, the Golf is current and ergo has a big following,it's amazing how many people are transfixed with the Golf-for me it's quite a dull car.
  22. Those seatbelts that are like harnesses get right on my wick;"look at my fast car,it goes so fast I need a gay harness like the ones off the WRC". Eyebrow spoiler-what the hell is the point? over-slammed Corrados and ridiculously fat(phat?)18'' alloys. Any rear light cluster that isn't all red or OEM.Their purpose is to make the Corrado look more modern, when it only serves to make it look even older than it is. As much as the above annoys me it is of course excusable with the kids.
  23. Oh yes. My car is going in to the garage on wednesday to sort this out once and for all.My ABS light now goes out where as it used to be on constantly. When the light goes out there is a weird grinding feeling on the brake pedal(like it's pressing against a piece of metal). There's also a kind of groaning sound with the steering occasionally. At the moment I feel like I want all trace of the ABS system taken out the car.
