  1. The problem is, that if you are planning to get a charger then the N/A performance cams will be of little use and will cause a negative effect from the cam lobe centre line angles and valve overlap profile, this will cause blow through of the un-burned mixture and early exit if the spend gasses, for this reason there are performance cams specifically for the charged systems! You’ll have to think carefully, and I’m not fully convinced that the variable inlet manifolds are a valuable addition to a forced induction system, though I stand to be corrected. I know Guy Hartley has had very good results from his system and he uses one. Chris
  2. A number of the plastic gangsters up here had cossies back in the day and they were always breaking sh1t on them, crap, that's all i can say, the myth outways the reality, never meet your idles. Fast, there's no denying but not reliable on the whole. Chris
  3. This is funny, i have the correct readings but i also have a 'F' instead of a 'C' for the temp and Kmh instead of Mph but it does read in celcius and mph! How do i change that? :help: Chris
  4. corradovr6sc, are you using the air filter plant pot? I suppose i shoud put a pic of mine up too then but i've given my polished manifold to chrishill but i'll do another one shortly and never finished putting the plastics back on the engine but i will sometime. My charger is the Vortech V9fSQ running 6psi though i do have a 8 or is it 9psi pulley, not sure. Chris
  5. Well said Mine's fine but there's a lot of Misnomers about charger, nitrous and turbos, generally from people that have never even been in one or know anyone with one! Chris
  6. Crazy, stupid, mad whatever but life is cheap over there and it stops them shooting each other i guess, or strapping bombs to themselves I had this video and others on my website for a while and by the bandwidth used, people want to see this type of thing for it's madness, funny that it's just on a public road in the day time with no cops there, defo not a first world country Chris
  7. Chris your ECU has a 'Chip in Socket' from AMD and has the serial number on a white sticker on the EPROM's window Chris
  8. P.S. I'll fit one for £200 + expenses
  9. corradovr6sc, i couldn't sum up the energy to type something like that, cheers for typing my type of thoughts :D Chris
  10. I just went out and bought one when i wanted one, it's good but none of this dreamy banter. Get a loan go buy one and enjoy!
  11. not hard but easier with a frien to help lift out & in and line up but can do it yourself if have no friends! Chris
  12. The real one costs £27000 to service, i bet that one won't! Chris
  13. Thanks for the parts Dinkus! All arrived and are as described and work spot on, thanks for crashing your car to make all this possible ;-) Chris
  14. LarryDuff, I'm the mate whom loned james the money to help the situation out, however in the defence that's a clouded story! The unit was offered that's true as is the fact that it was still in the car, no defence! Though it was offered that the unit would be removed in a hour or so as most of the car was already dismantled. They were planning to go for a wander arount the sites in Penrith down the road and if it was me and i'd travelled and spent fuel i'd have said yeah i'll see you in an hour or so and went for my wander in the hills of Penrith! But no, there was dummies spat out all over the place, In my opinion, unneccessary. Mountains out of mole hills! Should never have been posted in this thread, there's always two sides to a situation though i'm not either but i happened to be there. One more thing, if travelling a long way to get something i'd call before leaving just to make sure the cat hadn't died or anything but no, off ther went and it's all history. All i'm doing here is adding to the scant story line and wish to attract no flack, just clarifying the matter some! Chris
  15. Kev, Yeah it's from a pisshat Chris
  16. I have to say that when i swapped my engine over to my current car which had a full std system as opposed to the cat pass & Mongoose system it used in the previous car the difference was amazing! I raced my VR against one of the skylines and it out accellerated it at any speed, Chrishill ws in the car to verify! The std zorst set up and the same skyline racing against me with the same driver etc and he was sitting beside me gesturing me to go for it but i was to the floor, he wasn't!!!!!!!!!!!! Huge difference, i think what i'm saying here is that the std zorst is good for a std VR but that's it, if you are producing a higher CFM of exhaust gasses then you need zorst that can handle that greater CFM adequately IMO Chris
  17. drivle I think i depends upon how you ask the question, but that's fine. I'd vote for a Supersprint as a top zorst though i have a Mongoose! Mine sounds fine, a bit grunt without the boom but it clatters off theings under the car. Chris
  18. This should have been a poll to illustrate the findings or this definitive thread! Chris
  19. Talking of the DOTZ girls, i took some video of camels, well thier toes anyway!!!!! Chris
  20. Damn did i laugh, I was going to post exactly the same!!!!! Chris
  21. The chrishill carriers are now ground a few mm that's how he could use the wheels without the spacers now. Chris
  22. yeah, i sent the link to H8rra, ask him, i'll see if i can find the link and post it up for you non believers!!!!!!!!! Chris
  23. I have a: VR6 Mongoose cat back AAS cat pass pipe Mongoose S/S zorst gives a decent note but not loud but bumps off everything so it's sh1t for that and it tw@ts off speed humps and has taken on the same curve of the speed hump it's self! Supersprint gets my vote if your funds extend that far. Chris
  24. Yeah, i've seen some that people have had in thier draw awaiting to be fitted to thier project that never got finished and up for sale for $600 brand new and never fitted, or was it $900 either way every part needed was there and un-opened so they do come up for sale Chris
