  1. No the lambda is meant to do it for you, and a wide band one is meant to do it better Chris
  2. i posted loads and the forum server hates me and ate my post :-( Chris
  3. The isv could be a cause but as a basic check, i've previously found problems in the area of the PCV, the breather from the end of the rocker cover that goes into the air intake pipe just before the throttle body, there are ofter tears or a split around there that you just don't notice and if it's sucking in air that would do what you described, so there's a few things for you to try from these posts. Let us know wat it was when you suss it, always interesting! Chris
  4. The funnies one was when chrishill autoclosed his keys in his VR  damn i laughed! Chris
  5. I like my rear spoiler and i like to believe that it does loads and loads even if it doesn't Chris
  6. THe little red highlight that tells you that 'RON' stands for Research octane number, is that right cos when i was at college we were told it was 'Relative octane number'! Anyway, i'm waiting for Shell's 100ron V-Power to get here, we used it a lot of the way to Austria and back, 'Tis gut yah'! Chris
  7. Well my rear bushes were poor with bits of rubber dropping off and hanging down so the difference with the poly's were total and as kev says, it's individual taste, i'm fine with the poly's and not aware of noticeable noise transmission into the car, i don't sit in the back anyway! Chris
  8. For god's sake don't jack it up on the skinny box section that supports the front engine mount, i just think it'll bend man! Chris
  9. Don't take the splitter off, just drive onto a piece of wood under each front wheel. biggerbigneil, if you look at me could you tell if i was strong? Chris
  10. For anyone in the Northeast email mailto:[email protected] or ues the website http://www.japspeed.net for a dedicated VW autoelectric problem or Cat1 certificated Toad 606 alarm/immob and at discounted prices! Chris
  11. What's the same equivelant set up for the VR? Chris
  12. I've set mine up with 0 camber but to be honest it does feel a little better as the lads described but i have to say, stick a charger on and you feel the std bushes give and in my opinion, give too much so if there is a benefit with a charger fitted there must be a benefit fitting uprated bushes even without that extra power but kev is going to find out soon enough! Chris
  13. Chris, there's Pau1 gone and funded(bank) a charger kit, are you sure you won't let yourself hop in by the last day? Chris
  14. GIXXERUK, didn't know you were one of those! Chris
  15. one has the code AAA which is a 2.8 and the ABV is a 2.9 as seen only in the Corrado, these codes are stamped on the block Chris
  16. I've had these DTM type tail pipes for a few years and i like them, it blows smoke ring on a cold morning up past the rear window, it makes me smile and it's old skool type racing style and i'm one of the older members so i'm happy with it at the moment though i am interested in changing to a certain other style in the future. Chris
  17. lol 250,000miles and you say i've been busy hahaha good one Henster! My charger's prob got 23+K miles on it but the engine at 168,000miles has never been rebuilt to date but i may do something in the near future to crisp it up some. Chris
  18. On the topic of steering geometry! I'd like to say that the standard bushes are fine and word under hard cornering to passively rear steer. However, if you have changed things like the shockers and or springs or lowered it or uprated anything else like ARB's then the rear steer WON'T act like it would with sloppy std suspension, the next thing is that to use the rear steer the car has to lean over far too far for my liking and makes the handling more of a guessing game than it should be, i've just uprated my VR suspension to something a bit lower and marginally firmer and although it's not as firm as i'd like it, the car seems obviously better without being harsh and does manage the hard corners much more accurately, the rear steer was to comensate for the high & soft (compromise) ride of the standard car to help with it's sportyness, the american cars are meant to be worse again god help them. My opinion from experience! Chris
  19. Yeah but i don't do shit to mine and it's got 168000miles on it and it geta c**ted about all the time and never breaks. I'm sure these chargers are gay! Thay always seem to be going 'puff' Chris
  20. All i hear about these G-lader chargers is plagued with faults and breakdowns! What's the craik, i'never ever buy one from what i've seen on here. Chris
