-
Same as mine (was). Its p..ing it down and my torch has just gone tits. But i'll post you up the 5 colours/positions before 9 tom morning bud.
-
had the same and it was the IS Also had the same and it turns out my upper steering colomn bearing had lost a few of its ball bearings and they were floating around beind the trim shorting stuff out. took nearly a yr to sus it as there was no play in the wheel. that mostly blew fuse too though
-
and you can see how often i clean the wifes vento, lol
-
As i have both sat on the drive, here you go mate.........
-
obd1 mate for definate, unless someone has modded it (quite a lot of work) it will not have an isv behind the engine if its obd2 as it uses a stepper motor on the throttle. yours should have 2 1inch ish size pipe aray at the back to the right of the TB as you look at the front of the car, with a funny looking plastic box that the pipes go into. all black rubbery plastic. = obd1
-
4.5k £'s its possible (just) if you get a second hand schrick though.
-
fitted my scuttle today, looks the absolute dogs. amazed at how different the bay looks when you pop the bonnet. kind of frames the engine. id buy that air intake duct in 2 secs if it fits the VR, which it sounds like it will? its about time someone did one, good on you
-
no, my arches are untouched mate. hate the thought of doing that and having them start to rust! no mods at all, and never had rubbing even 4 up with 205s. Im down 60mm now on coilies on the 7.5x16s. i dont think youd get away with that on 8s. camber will affect it too if its really close. honestly though 205/40/17s on 8x17s and youll have no problem, unless you want or have slammed it in the weeds!
-
you must have put on weight then XB lol 205s, cant go wrong. Here some on a 40mm drop, looks less as its a 1 in 4 and its parked in first not the handbrake :-(
-
i've run 2 sets of 8x17 et35s on mine in the past and both were fine. Stuarts nailed it above. you must have a 205/40/17 tyre. I had 215s on mine which were fine, but that was on standard ride height. 205/40/17s will not rub with a sensible drop at all (ET35). they wont look stupidly strectched either, which personal i really dont like.

theres a 96 P 8v gti at my local scrappy i saw yesturday. it has 288s on it in good nick. he wanted £50 for the lot. if i get a chance at the weekend ill pull them off and post em up or pm you. got family in hospital at the mo so cant promise. but i was going to try and get em anyway as its a fair price and people allways want em. although the disks dont sound much bigger the pad area is literally double, that where you get the big improvement
-
mine does this when its cold. doesnt stay down but is lethargic coming back up. but mines on 140k now so it could be all of the above mentioned things! it gets better when the car warms up though.

pumps do buz a bit anyway, so that may be nothing to worry about. in my experience they just tend to fail and it wont start at all. if its had a service i presume they changed the spark plugs. so may be an idea to replace the distributor cap, as that an easy cheap option and takes 2 mins. then look to change the plug leads if that changes nothing. theres other things like idle valve etc, but id start at the most common cheap end first! it may be a trate of the valver though, but im not too hot on those experience wise im afraid. plenty on here to help if the obvious doesnt cure it though

Really 7-800HP do you think. and hold out for the 500 hp corrado in the second part. Somebody please tell me thats not running 280s still !! wtf
-
even if you fit standard 288 discs and pads it transforms the braking mate. I would say that would be better than upgrading the 280s for anything on offer. As mentioned, they will fit under the standard 15" speedlines too!! So 16s "shouldnt" be a problem. the only other thing you would need are a set of goorich converter hoses for less than £20. and btw, youll notice a number of us are running 312s, but i can tell little if any difference over the 288s tbh. They look a lot bigger but the pads and callipers are the same so you just gain a smidge of leverage. 280s cr.p -- 288s great -- 312s little difference (but lots of wheel clearence fun)

Proper mods Phat! Keep it up and keep it posted, i love reading this stuff
-
up for this too. Yes please Karl!!
-
is that a polo g40 behind, with what looks like a nova front end :-(
-
I know your not the type to shout about it, which is cool but any chance of some picks,, please!!??
-
Well jay fitted all the bits to remove the fault codes! Not really an option unless its the plan from day 1, as that would involve all the brake equipment and bulk head fun i guess to mention but a few. I think Phat can mod looms to fool the ecu to think everything is ok, sure ive heard him mention it before mate and im sure he will help you out as soon as he spots this. Good work on the R32 mate, love to see it some time!
-
Love reading test docs like this, nice one.
-
Do you think i can get them to fit though? possibly yes please, and a big thankyou for the offer. im not paying that for them though, or should i say MBNA wont let me anyway ;-)
-
how oem speedline + uber purposeful are these babies (if they were silver)!
