does she have stick on weights or those that are lcipped on between the wheel and tyre?? i had this with my original speelines, turned out to be the weights just seeping. lay the wheels flat and poor some water between the alloy and tyre. shoudl buble if you have a leak round there no matter how slow. Just look very carefully and try them face up and face down. I guess if that doesnt work it must be a porous thing, assuming 2 wont be cracked.

exactly what mine reads on the original gauges. i had a golf vr oil pump pack up. instant light and killed it as soon as i saw it. the light should come on before you know theres a problem, but you wont get long to kill the engine if your at speed. they are easy peasy to change though, what mileage are you on??

Looks awsome, one of my fav C's. IT looks a lot glossier ( is that a word?) in the flesh too btw Jim. Those wheels rock with the uber brakes too. I reckon its the size of that sub thats made it so low ;-) -
I've got the clear halfords ones, well sort of frosted. Perfect fit and have not misted up inside. Think they go with Aqua Blue just right imo. What colours your C??
-
lovely lovely, one sweet looking car mate. Rear lights look nicely done!
-
D90s look so sweet on C's, would have looked good as an oem wheel imo, so solid. Looks lovely mate Bet you get slapped for that plate though!!

They should charge more to deal with Walesy

Throttle sounds cheap and the inlet sounds expensive! Throttles here aroudn £100 exchange, but the intake manifolds machine polished seem to fetch only around the same up to £120. Suspect you will only notice the difference right at the top end of the rev range. I would do an exhaust and induction kit first, if you hav'nt already bud. Oh and as for thinking tuning when you should be thinking maintenance or repair, sounds like you have your priorities right to me ;-) thats the way i do things too, its much more fun :-)

I hate it when this happens to tuning companies as they expand. I used to love going to TSR, having a coffee with Tim and chatting about dubs, even when i just had something like an exhaust fitted. Then they moved site and doubled in size and would barely give you the time of day unless you wanted a £5k engine conversion. I refuse to beleive that he lost his love for VWs as he allways had so much passion for GTis when i used to speak to him. I suspect he just got caught up in the financials and swept along. Think he got out at the right time and i hope he did well, but its a shame none the less. I help out at a local VW specialists, purely to better my knowledge and borrow tools etc. They could expand but hav'nt because they are so aware of loosing the personal touch. It counts for a lot, and most of their business is regulars and word of mouth, and they have kept their labour rates very low. I also now have new respect for the fact that lots of jobs end up costing them money, yes it evens its self out and they make a living, but its not all roses. Trust is a very big word when it comes to garage services, and very rare these days i hate to say.

Main dealers..... I got quoted £3000 to do my clutch and timing chains (WITHOUT parts). I also have a receipt in my service history for a head gasket, nothing else, JUST a head gasket. £964+vat. If you follow the history on, that was'nt the problem either. I have no feelings about any of the above, purely stating fact. ;-)
