  1. Ive got LED sidelights, they are brighter than my headlights!! (havnt done the loom yet :-o They have a really pure white light too. Good work Lee, glad your back o form!
  2. Steve's right, they are a lot cheaper than you think, but people just dont bother asking. (everything else is a complete rip off though!)
  3. Phat, could you make it fit?
  4. Mines SORN at the mo because an ABS sensor, thermostat and door handle all went t.ts the day before my tax renewal and what with house and child cr.p going on i knew it would stay beggered for a week or 2. Thought about taking it off anyway, now i can cycle to work, but tbh, its doing my nut in not driving it for a last week, its worse than not getting any! Salt isnt good, but the amount we all clean our cars i doubt its going to do much. Mine will be back on the black stuff as soon as I do the stat and sensor, no winter rest here ;-) and in my experience i have had far more problems as a result of not driving various cars than ragging them all yr round. I pay too much insurance etc not to enjoy it as much as possible too! Respect to those that do, but i just cant leave my car alone without getting grumpy!
  5. doesnt it come from the brake servo stright through the fire wall, hence you cant see it? Only guessing btw
  6. 34 now and in order of purchase......(you will notice a pattern of down grading, then back up to a decent motor again, caused by credit card out of controll, downgrade, etc etc lol. Heading for that again unfortunately! 7. doing mine tommorow for the second time in so many months! Problem i have is that the VW main dealer (not my local one) completely rounded off all the coil pack bolts!! !! so i have to do it blind. Several people have looked at getting them out now to no avail. So i think the only way is to badger the feck out of the CP when the time comes, or try arguing the case with VAG, but im probably better off asking my 2yr old to sort it for me.
  8. crickey, yeah, not the brake fluid resevoir!! water tank is much bigger with a blue or black cap on it and no wires attached to the very top.
  9. ordinarily yes you would fill it up from the header tank. The cap has a presure release valve in it, normally a black round bit that feel slightly loose. If the presure builds up too much then it allowd coolant/air to vent out of the header tank. They can fail with age, very common, and it will probably either let too much out, ie all the time when its hot, or nothing and you will blow a rad hose probably. Either way youll know though! On the VR its best to fill it up from the top rad hose, but thats very unusual, and only recommended on the VR6 i beleive?
  10. Very nice car, and great taste in wheels bud. Welcome to the forum too :-)

    Red tail lights

Did mine with about 6 coats and they looked fab. But 3 car cleaning sessions later they are back to good oll amber :-(
  12. pmsl tell him vr's run too hot in england, let alone in africa
  13. its about blue laces i think theres too much body colour and, well i cant be bothered, its boring full stop.
  14. Mint car! and some serious yummy bits that won't be in their boxes for long knowing you! :notworthy:
  15. I love the Aqua flow gauge, but thats £170 on top of the basic kit
  16. I know Aquamist is good but its pricey. Anyone running cooling mist, and if so how do you rate it?? I've read that all these systems are effective, but its pump failure that lets the cheaper ones down. Aquamist = £300 Coolingmist = £105 delivered from the US of A. Whos tried the Coolingmist then?? Cheers guys and gals
  17. Thoughts are with you Andy, sounds like your a top fella reading this. Good on you for keeping your head and making his last weeks the best, and for sharing it with us which is'nt easy. RIP.
  18. any tweaks to the green beastie yet Jay!?? cant wait to see it unfold step by step ;-)
  19. Alfa has the carisma/pulls the heart strings, but cuicidle ddepreciation. Saab is the dynamic quality choice and 320nm, you wont fall asleep! I voted Saab, but it was close.

oh and it may look shiney in those picks but its still a corrado. Went out thursday night for a spin, door handle broke, abs light came on and is still on permanently and my stat housing (4th this yr) pi..ed all my G12 out over night when i got back. We are still talking though ;-)

  Blimmey, thanks guys  8) I lost the family VS forum/C argument for once over the last 2 days, lol. But brownie points have been banked and i'm back to the fold  Also managed to get the dent taken out of the rear panel. Cost £60 but you would not know it was ever there at all! Still some scratching but it goes with the marks where the previous owner must have slammed the boot with the keys in, so ill live with that for a few months over winter. Mr VRG, thanks for taking those picks, very flattering. Didnt know you posted them!! There are far better cars on here but I am really loving mine now, mainly because replacing all the boring cr.p underneith has made it so tight feeling to drive. I do like the wheels, but there are compromises. The Oetts and speedos are the best of both worlds to me. BUT, i have to sell one of these two within the next month as im max'd out on all plastic friends, but im still 50/50, just cant decided ffs  I will add that as everyone does sometimes im having sh.t time at work, home and financially at the momment and this thread has cheared me up no end, thanks peeps :-)
  22. These guys are fab, and i'm sure they will give you advice over the phone and a definative answer. All my mates use them, as have I due to their workshop being cleaner than an operating theatre, they are really careful with your car and will only repair what needs doing if thats what you want. I don't know them buy the way, just impressed with their work Gearlink Ltd 01722 711444 (thats Salisbury, Wilts) Its the Dif pin that allways goes on these boxes isnt it, when you select reverse............clunk............oh dear. Box apart i think but im not 100% by any means. Cheaper to do the linkeage and see if it will come out.
  23. or me :) FM Jim your car looks georgous, looks like an alien being its so red. Credit to you bud. I kinda thought it would end up mintoss after your green one, as that allways looked rather special imo!
  24. Well mod while you can, because i cant see them having the power to get you to remove stuff you have fitted already when it comes in. If they have, then they will be paying me a fair old wedge in compensation ;-) I can see manufacturers backing it, and creating a whole new side business for their own approved tuning and styling parts! Skinnyman, I really like that red C in your avi!!
  25. Looks wide, will it clear down there?
