because I dont know all of the things I need and a pack would be quite useful.

Do GSF do something like a service kit for specific cars. Such as fuel filter, air filter oil drain kit ect. Im having a look at the website now and its rubish. What Im looking for is all the bits im going to need for a major service on my Vr.

Most enjoyable read, Thanks very much, Oh yeah. Cheers for the back cover shot. :D
-
how much to get one of those fitted then?
-
not true. The production time of a Porsche is 2 weeks and the time from finish to delivery is less than a month. Also the dealers use Parc Ferme as a a vallet company and they dont mess about.
-
im intrigued. Why would you feel the need to charge a customer to claybar a car that was only painted a month ago. That Cayman did look good when comparing the fore and after shots but the paint is only just dry, Surely the clay and polish is not warranted.

regular glass polish (autoglym class cleaning paste) can help reduce the marks left. but if it is that bad the only way is to get out Mr Hammer and call the insurance people.

The cheaper fuels have extra ethanol added to them to increase the burn. As a result the exhaust gasses are hotter and can screw up the sensors inside the exhaust.

1000s of Reported cases? yeah well, as you say the press are not well known for their honesty, However Im dealing with at least 6 cases at work where burned out oxygen sensors are requiring replacement and costing the customer 500 quid a pop. and they are all in the east london area. Besides, a few weeks ago I had a crappy tank of fuel and the worst it did was cause a bit of misfiring. clicky Just goes to show, yet again, Dubs are the best choice of motor.

Exactly the symptoms mine had after filling up at Morrisons in Bude, Cornwall. I thought I had managed to screw my engine up.

have you got any pics of previous work done?

Martin B, Are your offices open on a saturday?

My juztmatz mats are bog standard quality and have been in the daily driver for well over a year now and I can honestly say with a quick hoover they come back like brand new, The pile is not crushed on the heel pad and the logo has not pealed at all. I know one mans custard is another mans mustard but IMO Justmatz seem to be playing fair by you Jbob.

Mine had abs probs starting the day I fixed the matrix. exactly the same symptoms as you. It self checks but when you drive off the little light pops on. It turns out when the matrix was removed I dripped water on the relay on the pass side for the ABS, Have a gander at the relay behind the "undergloveboxtray" Might be a blown one.

VR6 popping exhaust and misfire on gentle acceleration.
ZippyVR6 replied to ZippyVR6's topic in Engine Bay
Dizzy VR, so Im guessing ist not the coilpack. Steve, That was my first thought, looking at the service history, They are the origonal ones. coming up for 15 years old now. Ill get them done in the upcoming service. Weird thing is it all started when I filled up with fuel at a morrisons petty station in cornwall. and last night I put half a tank of shells finest back in and things seem 100% better today. Reckon I might need to change the fuel filter too. -
Not sure where this one is going to end up. Could be expensive, But basicly, My Vr is doing some weird things. on gentle acceleration the car misses a beat up to 2k then sat at 80 on the motorway at about 3k acceleration causes another miss. Also on heavy acceleration in 1st and a quick change the exhaust seems to pop from the manifold end. It all started after a trip down to cornwall in a torrent of rain. I have wd-40d the electrics and booked her in for a 100k service for plugs, ht leads and a cleanup of the isv. but Im trying to pre-empt what the mechanic is likely to say. Also when I had the bonnet up and engine running it sounds like my old hard drive working hard. Rattly. Aaarrgh, I know that can only mean timing chains. Anyone got any experience of how much it is likely to cost me. Ie Phirm or Stealth.

do you mean an arch roller?

looks like its up and runing again, Yay.

Not sure if this has already been posted Taken from another forum... Theres a guy doing a scam at the moment on UK car forums. He posts up saying he has a garage full of car parts to shift, all very rare, desirable stuff. And great prices. Only accepts Paypal and if anyone wants to collect he goesa bit quiet on them. Usually claims to be rebuilding a V8 Landrover but whatever the forum is (Opel Manta, Mk1 Astra, Ford Escort) he's got piles of stuff for them from an old project. Needless to say people get excited, pay him hods of cash by Paypal and then he disappears... Examples of him in action http://www.escortevolution.co.uk/forums ... opic=74748 http://www.mantaclub.org/forum/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=11186 http://www.mk1oc.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=5219 he took the Escort guys for well over a grand before he was busted. Please keep it in mind that forums are no more trustworthy than the local rag and probably far less safe than eBay. Be wary out there. If it seems to good to be true it probably is and if someone won't play ball with cash on collection then run a mile.

Looks liket the new site is nearing completion. The mesage has changed and there is a tiny pic of Furks's beast on the advertising banner.

Im thinking that fitting a solid front mount will inevitably cause more stress on the rear mount, and when I spoke to Vince about one he quoted me upwards of 150 quid. The VAG one is 26 + VAT. Besides the VW one has lasted 14 years. I only need to fit a new one because it is weeping.

Cool thanks ben16v, . Ill have a search on here for recomended oils and fluids. although is there such a thing as a service pack that has all the standard things you I would need for a service?
