  1. Good stuff, Niel. Good to meet you. best of luck. If you are sucessfull you will be able to furnish the coupehaus boys with Porka parts at a prety special reduction in price. :)
  2. agreed, My old sony MDX was exactly the same.
  3. scarlet_vr6, always happy to talk dubs mate. Good luck for tomorrow Niel.
  4. I think that was the point Jim. You dont need a shift light in a VR because the world becomes very noisy and your passenger goes a funny shade of grey.
  5. zyclamvw, first of all do you mean oil or water temp? The fact that you have a close formation V shaped engine sat in a tight bay with little air circulation means that it does get hot. Its not to much to wory about. If you use the search and look for "vr6 and engine and temp" you will find many other concerns similar to yours. The oil does get hot and will get to 120 degrees without too much provoking but it says in the handbook that you only need to be concerned if you get to 140. Having said that many people on here have stuck an aditional oil cooler on the car to help cool the engine. Lets face it though, the car has been around for a minum of 12 years and still pulls like a train.
  6. RS VR6, The air vent is passengers side on UK spec cars mate. RADO.001, It sounds like matrix woes. you may have the beginings of a leak. When mine went it cascaded all over my feet but a slow leak from the right hand side of the matrix could be your answer.
  7. Id be up for that. Sounds like a dream job.
  8. He's the bit of fluff that shows people around! :D
  9. Guess thats two on my side then :) Happy Birfdee by the way Andy.
  10. perhaps the parking sensors fell off and he can no longer park it. If only I had the cash.
  11. once the coolant is in, run the car for a good few mins let the thermostadt open up and watch the level drop. (then top it up again) it will automaticly circulate round the system. just check it after a day or so to make sure the level doesn't drop.
  12. so by the same theory a cold hairdryer would create a higher power figure if you were idleing? surely only so much air can get into the cylinder at once?
  13. Yeah bonnet open. There would probably be a loss when it is closed but that is more than made up for by the sound. But you run the risk of sucking up puddles with a cold air feed from the wing, thats a risk I wouldn't want.
  14. Isn't opinion a wonderful thing :) so many options, so many choices and the freedom for everyone to have their own personal favorite. Besides your all wrong,
  15. Well I love mine. Sounds awsome all the way through the rev range and as for the power loss, I have run 2 rolling roads with it on both gave readings above the standard BHP figure of 190.
  16. I will have a Cayman S one day. Having been lucky enough to try most of the range out, thats the one for me. 3.4 mid engined go-kart. Though by the time I will be able to afford it Ill probably be needing a Panamera.
  17. agreed, passenger side relay 21, you will need to take out the under glovebox tray to get to it.

Nice one Jon, that looks realy good, Does it flicker when it turns on? I am thinking of a couple of blue ones in the footwells hooked up to the interior light.
  20. There are two types, Precision or performance, Both are not cheap but the actual time in a car is worth th extra, and you do actually get to have a play with the cars, The instructors are all profesional drivers themselves and Everything is tailored towards it being an experience to remember rather than one that "could have been better." Have a looksee
