Sneaked through my test a year before the Theory came in. The rule of thumb on the test was then, if you did ok and didn't arse up your manouvers then you got a couple of easy questions after the driving bit but if the tester didnt like your style of hanging it round corners and swearing at old people then you were asked questions until you got enough wrong to fail you.

just a quickie anout these oil coolers. Is seems these are the thing to have with a VR, but people also talk about a mayonaise on the oil filler cap which is caused by condensation, and can be removed by getting the oil up above 100 deg. Now would this be imposible to do with an oil cooler on? not that it is going to put me of getting one, as Kev says better a bit to cool than a running temp of 116 at 80ish. but Im just curious.

If they are Mcguard, give em a call on 0808 156 3675, they were super helpfull when my locking nut key warped and sent me a new one free of charge withot needing any paperwork, They may be able to help you if you are able to take a clearer digital shot of the nut and they can work out whick key fits them. Best of luck

Yeh it belongs to a mate of mine who runs the pub we have the Thames Valley Meet at, but the Rados still get more looks. :D It may be quicker and handle through the twisty stuff but show him a wet road or a servicing bill and he goes all quiet.

Wander down to Halfrauds when you get the old ones off. the parts desk should be able to point you in the direction of the right Mcguard loocking nuts for your motor. about 36 quid.

This is true, but I worry about the temp getting up to 126 deg when I have been really pushing back in the summer. Catch 22, is there a way of switching the thermostat to come on at 100?

The brembo ones from GSF are only about a tenner more than the standard ones. Not sure if they are any better but for a tenner a disc I would go for the brand.

The number plate recognition system used in patrol cars cant detect if you are a terrorist or a wanted fellon. So going on guilty till proven inocent you must be trying to dodge the law and are liable for a 60 note fine.
