Right I think ive done bad. Pursuaded my brother that Mollyslip gearbox treatment is ace stuff, as my uncle had sworn by it for years. It went in the top of his gearbox in the plug next to where it meets the engine on his Mk 3 golf and now the clutch slips and there is oil dripping out of the gearbox at the bottom????????????????????? what Have I done and can it be fixed? have I just oiled the clutch plate?

At the end of the day (man I hate that phrase) all corrados are special and limited. that is one of the reasons we all love em. But some corrados are more equal than others.

there are plenty of specced up VRs and G60s that in my mind aer more desirable, but the limited edition thing comes into play with collectors. and I guess in 10 years time a storm will be worth more than a standard VR. that is unless we are all forced off the road by flying buses or petrol at 50 quid a litre.

Thanks for the replies but It was a simple one, I must have pulled out a couple of the spade plugs when moving it about. :oops: As for the big bang i dont think Ive blown anything as all the fuses are intact and everything seems to work ok. oh and bright lights :)

Yeh they just dont think/care. My brother had a rock the size of a fist come through the passenger side of his windscreen on the M27 a few years back. it would have likely caused a huge accident or killed him if it had been his side. its just lucky no-one was sitting in the passenger seat. W**#rs.

Just fitted one of majiks looms, Quality looking bit of kit. but in the final tightening on the +ve terminal I managed to touch the spanner to my ring and my ring to a metal bracket on the car. Big spark and lovely burn on the inside of my finger. thats repairable so no worries but now I only get sidelights? have checked the two fuses in line to the loom, and fuse 11 and 12 on the fuse box and they are ok. any ideas? might I have blown a resistor on the loom?

With all engines it is not the number of miles that ages it as much as how it was driven for those miles. ie harsh driving from cold starts and short journeys. but 200k seems a limit. I spose there is no way of finding out short of getting numbers of previous owners and asking them how it was driven, work carried out ect.

Thought that was an LED? Didnt think they blew?

any pics? Im sure if they are silicone hoses then they are sure to be better than the original ones. Hoses either work or have holes in them. no half measures.

As with many of these things the media hype stories up and the concequences are that seemingly inocent people are used as scapegoats for the public angst. from what I have heard of the story I am in the same boat as you. I hope that the overcrowded prison situation means that his case will be up for parole sooner rather than later but it is more likely that a kiddy fiddler sent down for the same time will be released before him under a secure housing programe. the system sucks. and you are quite right it is not consistant. BP needs to put some thought into some sort of en-route refueling system, a quick tanker with inteligent hoses that can open your fuel cap at 90 mph and fill you up. you could pay via mobile phone or something.

The pug 306 is some sort of monstrous chav chariot. and I am loving the 6 series so the M6 should be ace.

a friend of mine just bought a 350 quid mk2 GTI. 179k on clock but 6 months tax and test. good cheap motoring for 350 and a bit of fun too.
