Selling my Brothers mk3 gti on auto trader, the ad went on the web site last night and already got the following scam email wanting the car to be shipped to Spain: Hello Seller, How are you doing today?I came across the advert of your used CAR I am interested in purchasing the car you put up for sale get back to us with your last asking price?But I would need more pictures also with the present conditon of the CAR.I will want you to get back to me if AND only if,you still have the car for sale so that we may conclude on the purchase. Also i will like you to know that am buying the car for my daughter whom wedding is coming up in a few weeks from now.Get back to us with your last asking price and we will also like to know the present condition of the car get back to us,so that we can arrange for the payment fast,also my shipper will also coming to inspect the car on my behalf.Because my wife really love the car than i do,i will also want you to know that am a far away buyer from Spain which i will be responsible for the shippment of the car,also payment will me made in U,K.I will want you to get back to me so that we can arrange for the payment fast,i await to read from you soon. road tax is a customs and excise thing and should have no bearing on insurance cover. the one that counts with insurance is MOT. So I wouldn't panic about it. Gutted for you about the car, WTF is happening to all these C's?

I would have said it looks less lardy than a Mk4, I wasnt sure at first but having seen them about more often have warmed to them. a mate has a Mk5 GTI and it is fantastic. It out corners my (unmodified) C and up to about 5500k matches the speed. so a R32 would be perfik, big VR sound and 4 wheel grip.

Bummer, GT4 rocks. But I would rather see a real mario kart track on Top gear. Bit disapointed with the show tonight. expected more from the last show, that award show was just a bit of who can shout the loudest.

Reversing onto a mates drive I caught what looks to be a shield for the exhaust on the center post on the drive. Big graunching sound and im left with a bit that hangs loose and now catches on speedbumps. :( What is it? and is it expensive?

have you got a loom yet? I just uprated teh bulbs when I first got the car and it did make a difference, but nothing compared to when I pugged the loom from Majik in. I can see into next week and get flashed ocasionaly (im sure it is the lights and not my driving).

Well although you might be getting on the managements case, at least you can have a chat with the people that are actually going to do the work. They may be inclined to get it sorted properly dispite the owner being a gereedy git.
