Check out MJ Interiors website for rough prices, looking from £650 for the dash. Nice interior mate, been looking to do those colours for ages bout 2 years all the way through like yours, and now thats all i keep seeing those colours. You say it took a while how long was it as i spoke to a few ppl who have MJ trim and they all say the same, "took a while but worth the wait".
  2. Quality, could do with a little more in the vw mags but def not in the laxpower style just nice tasteful shots like a few of those before you all shoot me down.
  3. How's the beast coming along, you at warp 10 yet......

    Possessed speedo

Any1 know where this speedo sensor is located, through the bay under the car and what does it look like?
  5. Prob more hassle than its worth and the non sunroof cars are rarer so dont cut it up.
  6. :offtopic1: Where does the misconception come in though as i thought some parts were still passat. Is it just say the floor pan at the back or similar?
  7. Cant help but i thought the back end was more passat so if it fits a passat then prob a c
  8. Better explanation than mine dr_mat :)
  9. Having not been in either a VR6 or R32 i dont know how true my comment is but i have heard the R32 engine does below 4000rpm what the VR6 does above 4000rpm, then after that its even more. Maybe it canbe done with the R36 but how deep are your pockets?
  10. Not a clue with your problem but there isn't a oil pressure gauge on the corrado bud.
  11. Yes i see your point, im not really looking at the point of view of a good basic sounding system. My comment was more of a generalisation about powering speakers. Anyway its not always just about the power but what source the amps get as in how clean and strong the signal is, how good the components in the amplifier are, do they distort the signal or whatever in the amplification process and prob loads more i dont know about. Whatever you do dont go down the clipping road, basically like running your engine lean. Will last but how long?

    Possessed speedo

Do you have any pics of where its located, more info on how to change it.
  13. When rating an amp to speakers it is def better to go overboard on power as said it gives room to play with, an under powered speaker will blow first before an over powered 1, and do you want to run an amp thats too small on its limit than an over powered 1 working easily within its range.

    Possessed speedo

No neither. Engine been out and rebuilt and haltech engine management fitted, since then its been like that and thats around 3 months, at 1 point but only for an hour the speedo stopped working altogether then came back the same, also for a couple of weeks it worked fine but for the most part its been possessed. So possibly like you say could be to do with the gearbox?
  15. Its all about the priorities, i will be down with you at the hospital later on love just need to sort out my new wheels 1st dear.

    Possessed speedo

My speedo works fine when driving normally It even works fine when i get to naughty numbers under gentle accleration but when i floor the throttle and its around 80mph it shoots round to 120mph (and im not bragging either) wish i could do 80-120mph in 0.2 seconds, then it just bounces all over the place until i back off the throttle and in almost an instant it reads correctly again. Who has experienced this strange phenonema and managed to beat the demons that once possessed your clocks?

    DTA ignition MAP

I tend not to look into the map as i dont wanna make anything worse. Looks like yours uses windows as well, been the older haltech it uses DOS so takes longer giving the DOS commands to get my head round it all. When warm its not a problem like yours it will fire 1st time, just when stone cold its very easy to flood the engine and if i do then obviously it takes a couple of cranks to get going. Now i have no ISV so i need to on start up manually choke with the throttle, which is not a problem to me but what i find strange is on 1st cold start cranking i can keep cranking over and over and it will not try to fire at all if its quite cold outside ambient and sometimes the same when its a nice day, sometimes will fire straight away if warm ambient, anyway why does it do this on the 1st no matter how long i leave it cranking over.
  18. Personally i think its not great but i see it everyday, the usual 16 year old condition. But i have been told quite a few times that considering its 16 years old its in good condition.
  19. Its been neglected for ages and ages and im wanting to get everywhere detailed, maybe not perfectly but to the standard my car will allow without been in the body shop and i work slow
  20. not for me neither, must be our poor man connections compared to the superior 1's that will make it worky
  21. Well there is no price you should spend but you do get what you pay for. Agreed it is a minefield, best bet is to stick to well known and reputable brands.
  22.  yep thats right.....

    ------------

A different 1 is used on mine but not sure what it is, off something like a mk3 or mk4, triple layer metal head gasket and apparently will be really reliable, fit and forget hopefully, touch wood.
  24. I wish it still looked like that, 2 years ago now that was, worked out i need to spend around 40+ hours minimum to get it looking the same. Its not clear in my service book but is either LC6V/LC6U but the colour is called pearlescent green.
