I have always said "How fast you want to go is how much money do have/want to spend" Some ppl have spent little in comparison to others to get a fast car but at the end of the day i bet they have still spent more than you think. You take the cost of the things you need into account but forget/don't realise the other parts you also need to complete things, mounts, exhaust ecu etc.

I also heard that the focus RS is more twitchy than a corrado with the same diff is down to the un equal length drive shafts been more uneven than the corrado.

Spoke to C&R a couple of times and never once did i feel like they were tjust trying to get money from me, more like they were trying to give me stuff cheap.

As far as i know that involves a crank change as well as a bore out to achieve 1940cc. Just a rebore to 83mm will get approx 1870cc

What exactly are you polishing. If i was going to do this to remove swirls for example, are the swirls in the laquer or the paint? So when you guys do this does the laquer get removed?

Any pics of your work matey. If i booked before end of september for a few months time does this still qualify for the cheaper rate? Also what is included in that price, you talking full everything, exterior, interior, engine bay etc? Is this at your house or at a works premises. Good choice of seats, just done this myself last couple of weeks. Are you replacing the interior to recaro or its already fitted, if its already in then dont forget to unplug the looms before you lift out the seat but after you have slid it back.

I went BBM screw charger, 1.9, big valve head, piper 285, intercooler, it made 260bhp and 250 lb/ft to give you an idea. Never gone 16vG60 but plenty on here are in the middle of doing it, the 1.9 will make it rev harder and freely which i like but im sure the 16v will do the same. Is it possible to do both a 1.9 16vG60?

Has anybody got these fited to an early leather door card? This is my issue with these, i had them fitted perfectly with no trimming anywhere on the pod or card when i had the original cloth interior, recently i swapped over to a leather interior and now the pod will not line up perfectly, basically where the top of the speaker area curves down and in to the pocket area. Looking at the 2 door cards its obvious as to why it wil not line up as there appears to be a slight different shape to the lip where the card recesses for the pocket. Both door cards are early style, just wondered if anybody else has had an issue like this with leather door cards and what the outcome was. Calling Cheesewire as your buddies with Audioscape.

Or miserable cnuts like "VR6stormer" who have rubbed all the paint off with their incessant bloody waxing and polishing because that's all they can do.....and moan about the younger generation daring to buy Corrados and fit turbos and supers to them. Don't forget, a lot of VR6s find their way onto Autotrader when the chains need doing. A great bargaining tool ;-) If i had a proper mint storm then i would only polish it myself as well, but i was going to say the same thing get a cheap 1 and do what the hell you like with it tuuuuuurrrrrrrrrbooooooooo psst.

Kev sometimes i used to think "he thinks he knows all there is to know about everything" and i must say 99% of the time you are right. :lol: :thumb right: I currently have the rear on the middle setting still not tried the stiffest yet, but i will do when i have the time to do it. The geometery has been set up and the front really digs in the corners nicely already, i was talking to somebody yesterday about this problem and the same conclusion was drawn regarding the diff, just waiting till funds allow a new box and associated diff.
