Its an oil mist returning back to the charger to keep it lubed, downside its hot air returning, so remove the boost return and blank off the charger end and no more hot air, cooler running charger and air temps so better power, plus side is a nice dump valve type sound from the second butterfly on the underside of the throttle body, just need to spray a coating into the charger every so often to keep it lubed so its def not a remove and forget mod.

I can hear you all screaming out, "they have just de-valued our cars"

Biggerbigben - Golf sold.. another new project!

Yep thats pretty much a good explanation and surely 1k+ for sequential is god damn cheap IMHO. Only other 1 i have seen on a road car if you can still call it that is the Reyland cossie and that was a 6 speed huge proper sequential gearbox for a skyline, with custom bell housing to mate to the cossie block, he was going to sell these kits for 6k if i remember rightly, so 1k plus dog box = mucho cheapness :D -

Nice find :D Only had a quick browse on there, so you got sequential in now and can i get some sequential action on mine. How does it work just changing the shifter, enlighten us. -
It should tighten up the back end and rid of some understeer but not having used 1 this is my theory.

You certainly dont mess around mate, nice work. What is the shifter from or is it another home made jobby? It might be the pics but you going to be able to change gear without hitting the dash -
_leon_'s Corrado - R32/Gemini box now in progress
junkie replied to _leon_'s topic in Members Gallery
I went 25mm neuspeed front and rear and cant fault them, rose jointed and the rear is adjustable needs to go on the stiffest setting, set on middle at the mo, fitted poly bushes to the back and thats what i mean like you say think s-bends, it sorts that out nicely, makes it less twitchy. I went vibratechnics competition all round and agree they are spot on only thing that moves is the exhaust now, just need a good solution to that, i dont want it solid but something better than standard vw rubber. I have a solid and clear plan everyday which changes daily :D 1 day show car with full leather etc next its stripped and caged, best to have a plan that can be changed along the way i think -

Glad you finally decided which way to go but im sure it will all change lol..... You done the rear bushes to rid of the passive rear wheel steer, makes a huge difference just makes the back end feel solid and what size front roll bar you gone for. -
   Yep you will have to call in at some point.

Is there anything you dont have :) I loved that whine, but unless you have heard 1 not on video you just cant comment as they never sound truly how they really do in a vid, want mine back..... -
Yeah good idea to save space, but you will be only be sucking air through a small section of the radiator, that is, the circle directly in front of it. The cowling is designed to mount the fan at a certain distance away from the radiator itself so that it can suck air through the radiator from directly in front of the blades, plus use the cowling shape to channel air through the corners of the radiator too. I imagine it like this: Using a funnel to pour water into a bottle (the funnel being the cowling here) or using a straw to pour water in. Yeah, the straw will work but it only has a small area in which it is effective. The water will splash around the outside of the bottle and not get used properly in this case... Hmm, now I read it back, this metaphor might be confusing! I can only see one fan, but I guess you might have two? sorry for the hijack monkey feel free to do mine :) So i think you missed my point boostmonkey, trying to say when moving along swiftly it will cool better as less restricted, now when stood in traffic on a hot day its not as effective i agree, the most i have seen it up to on the water temp is 110, soon as you start moving its straight back down kind of. As you can imagine the standard rad has a lot to deal with in my engine as the heat it produces will be a hell of a lot i imagine so anything that helps is a bonus. Still it needs upgrading at some point. monkey im waiting eagerly for your post mapping results :)

_leon_ u really need to get yourself down, know its a long way for ya but sure you will miss a good 'un boostmonkey i know that feeling, too many stone chips, dodgy touch ups lol, still not pulled my finger out and started it yet

without looking i think its kind of pushed in some how, but however its done it is a common way to do it, will take a look when i get chance, its been put away for the week now. _leon_ you def decided on 1.8T now :)

1 Cable is the 0 gauge for the stereo with 0 gauge rings 2 Yep pro alloy/jabba 3 blue pipe is for the oil cooler, x2 there as well 4 dont know but been told without the cowl it moves more air as no restriction, hence a slim fan as well. How much oil, well i could do with an oil rig lol What kind of vids would you like mate, action, porn, comedy     edit: yes it was around 2 months post conversion then, and no it dont look the same anymore but going to get it back that way hopefully.
-
_leon_ any suggestions for mine? Think monkey has more as he has the rallye intercooler as well with the in/out ends at opposite ends as mine are at the same. Jabba run a similar style intercooler on theirs with opposite ends on the cooler and they have the pipes the other way around with the turbo intake where the battery is. No pics though. monkey is it full on mapping time then after that :D
