It has been done before so it is possible and looks really good but i think i heard before that when changing into 1st 3rd and 5th is a little awkward due to the dash been further forward so it dont leave much room for the fingers. Like i said only heard so may be wrog....

Yea but remember it is Jabba prices and they are a bit cheaper now due to been more common. When i had mine it was the 3rd 1 Jabba had done. Think it worked out 1700 to get it in the country with the import taxes, then smaller pulley and injectors plus fitting and setting up then good old vat. It soon added up. 1700 sounds like a bargain and you dont need to go anywhere, sod saving get to the bank mate.

Not many have been done on corrados especially to 300bhp but if your willing to come to south yorkshire im sure i could take you out for a spin. monkey on here is getting close to the 300bhp mark but its still in bits and he is somewhere near castle combe i believe. Failing that jabba at peterborough have one but its not really road legal so it could be a problem getting out in it.

World Rally cars make a new kind of noise, like a 'chirp chirp chirp' I believe this is caused by the boost control system that trys to balance the blow off together with the wastegate. It actually doesn't release all the charge air when the throttle closes, so the inlet is still pressurised, so when you open the throttle again the pipework already has pressure in it so minimal lag. That and igniting fuel down the exhaust to keep the turbine spinning (chirp.. chirp.. bang bang bang!). 8) I just like writing threads with wordy explanations of car noises :lol: Also on rally cars with the sequential shifts it only takes a nano second to change gear so not really much use in bleeding it all off anyway.

Dont know much about cleaning the inside but for the heat transfer through the fins try blowing it out with OFN (oxygen free nitrogen) this will blow any built up dust, dirt etc out of it which will make it more efficient but prob not a huge difference to be honest.

VRT would be cool but I dont think its going to be very economical as they can do 400bhp easily.

Well its the same old standard gearbox how it left the factory with 100k on it and not been rebuilt at all. So would it only be through rebuilding the box that something would not be aligned properly or could it be something as simple as the engine and box been taken out of the car and been split so the engine work could be caried out and then not realigned properly when its been put back in the car? And what is backlash in the FD never heard of this before.
