Chris Langdon's Moonlight Blue VR6 thread!!!

Depends what roads you drive on, how you like to drive, what you can put up with etc. If its still standard suspension/ride height then 40-50mm drop will get it looking nice with a goodish compromise on ride comfort and get over speed bumps without too much hassle, but if you want a proper stance then your looking lower. -
Did the early 16valvers have tilt only?

If you mean the hole basically under the oil filler cap, its to drain off any oil from filling the oil through the filler hole, like when you miss on 1st pour and it goes all over the sides of the filler.

That would be the cleanest method, you would see any empty boot space and not even know anything was in there, just trim the false floor in carpet then it would look standard boot space, just with a solid floor and not flexi carpet. Pic of my install for the false floor reference Pic of the Phoenix Gold amp, hence why i say you need the JL Audio, you would mount the amp under the floor, so alls hidden Pic of the amp you need

No apparently the dieselgeek 1 is meant to be really good from the reports i have read, need 1 myself.
-
Find dieselgeek on google for a short shift kit, and the short shift kits from the likes of B&M etc are meant to feel poo.

Yes looks tidy mate just the usual wear and tear you describe for an old car, least the engine looks mint as most this age look tired and on their last legs. Should be easy picking up some grey leather i would have thought. Oh and i have a couple of awesome amps for sale if interested, again PM me.

£300 for Phoenix Gold and £150 for JL Audio, honestly if space is the issue then it needs tha JL Audio. All you need to do is mount it in the boot on a couple of blocks of wood then make a false floor as a trimming piece, no need for 18mm thick stuff, generally 6mm for trimming stuff but as it will be a useable floor still it may need to be slightly thicker not sure? All in a days work to be honest. If interested PM me mate. Simon

Welcome to Corrado ownership and common problem No:1. Many more to come mate you just need to get used to the quirks i like to call them. Mine is the same and has been 2 years so im not having a dig. You should be able to close it by holding the button to close and forcing it with your hand but it will most likely scratch the paint in the sunroof panel.

Stack definately and thats a good layout but it needs a better steering wheel to do it justice. -
No need to go mad with speaker cable but an upgrade does help, it will only sound as good as your weakest link in the system. I know you say you do not want an amp but if you do i have a top of the line Phoenix Gold for sale to run the front end speakers or a JL Audio 300/2 which would fit your needs perfectly, its not about been really loud just enhancing the music more.

Thats the 1 i saw 2, they dont ever get built like that. Ben what dash conversion you going for this time then  -
£4500 ish :( full engine rebuild with lots of bolt on goodies :D

I think the outside air temp wiring and probe is under the hole where the air box is, it is standard fit not an option.
-
Eyep bud, looking nice and fresh, it looked better as a taxi though :D
-
Looking real nice, what colou is that?
-
I cant recommend Clifford enough. Somebody once said to me they hate fitting Cliffords because there are too many wires, now surely the more the merrier as it is a more complicated system so in theory it makes it harder to steal IMHO, now if an installer is saying its too much like hard work then what kind of job are thay going to do? Hence why so many people complain Clifford are poop and go off randomly, complicated to install so get thrown in badly and no amount of setting up adjusting will sort it out, unless everything is turned right down then what protection will that give you. Go figure. We all have our preferences like with wheels and there is no definate right answer to whats better generally, all i can say is any system fitted badly will be poo. You get what you pay for.

Tidy, you must be the only person to swap to the angel eye set up and not moan about them been made wrong.
-
Yep it must be tricky that i was thinking of then.

I think Trig did the OB1 kenobe to R2D2 conversion and it took him a life time if you can find his thread.

Mine was a daily, in 5 years that its been in my possession its done 30 odd K, not the highest i know but still was driven, now though its a toy as of last week. Not even took it out the garage for 2 week :(

The tram lining is when its wider tyres/wheels not the overall diameter, as it digs into the grooves in the road more then follows it, could be seen as going 17's to some as generally people go wider at the same time.

In the 5 years i have had my clifford not 1 problem apart from the contacts on the valet switch going, free every time to get a new fitted. My mrs clifford on her 55 polo has been back twice but thats down to the car not the alarm or installation. Gap are crap from what i have heard on the old grapevine.
