  1. Sorry silly blind me it is the same number! Just checked the ported one again. Well I did read it while it was on the car! But this stiil means I need the earlier smaller type !
  2. I got brand new cams from America,re profiled tb from Germany + port matched inlet mani for around £500. I did fit these myself though ,and Im not sure of how much power Ive gained with out RR session. I will be taking it to Santa on the 9th of July to see what Ive knocked off my 1/4 mile! I do however need to get it remapped at stealth which is going to set me back 300ish pounds! Probably going for a high flow cat ,six branch mani and full ss exhaust at a later date. Also thinking about lightened drive pulleys and fly wheel. The R32 is a great idea if youve got the money.Id like to see mine with one in a few years with a twin turbos !! Good luck with what ever you decide mate and keep us posted ! :)
  3. I completed all the work on Saturday morning after stripping the cam cam cover of to double check the timing. After realising that it was actually timed to the wrong mark I refitted the top chain probably about 6 times ! The timing mark on the bottom pulley was 5mm out to the cams! After fitting them several times and still getting the same result I decided to give Vince a call for some advice as I don't really want to take it to him for a remap if its not timed right .I let him know what was happening and in the end we decided it was just tolerance of the chain slack etc! Well after getting that sorted I rebuilt the rest of the engine back up with the port matched mani and re profiled TB. Everything went back together fairly smoothly with no bolts left over! The car started after a few seconds and run pretty good ,but with one noisy tappet that didn't go for a while and the idle a little erratic. After all the cooling system was bled through I took it for a spin. You could feel the difference and hearit in the sound of the engine ,more throaty but keep stalling every junction and was a bit annoying ! When I got it back home I had the bonnet up and wiggled the throttle position sensor and it seemed to mess around with the idle ,so I assumed this was knackered. So all I got to do is swap it over with the one that was originally on the car .The only thing is I cant because it bolts to the TB differently and they are not interchangeable! Right so Ill order one from vw ,the part number doesn't show on etka ? Is this because its come from Germany and they have a different spec ,I don't know ? I managed to wiggle it a bit to a point that it idled at 1100 but didn't cut out so I drove it back like that. Ive now put back the old TB for now in till I solve the problem . Does this now mean that the TB I brought is no good to me? This is the part number of the sensor on the ported TB: 021 907 385 Has anyone come across this before or got any advice cheers!
  4. Right Ive had the top chain off and have now put it back on the only thing is I think its timed up to the wrong mark on the clutch! There are two marks arent there? one with a pointed pointer and one with a square. I think Ive timed it up to the square one! i suppose this means Im going to have to redo it ?
  5. Spent ages writing a thread and pressed the wrong button ,and cant be ar**d to write it again ,very tried  Heres some pictures anyway! And the cams and followers are in now but not shown in pics ! Goodnight!!
  6. Right I started a little later than I wanted ! Heres some pics of the stage Im at. Theres been a couple of problems with allen bolts on brackets not wanting to budge ,so Ive been having to chisel them undone! I havnt got that far kev ,but that doesnt sound good! The new starters in place ,upper manifold and radiator removed.
  7. I was thinking maybe you could remove some interior trim to access it ?
  8. Ill be having a propper look at it in the next couple of days!
  9. Right guys just thought you might be interested. I'm carrying out a few mods today, well starting and here's the list. 264/264 Cams New tappets Port matched inlet manifold Re profiled throttle body Neuspeed thermostat and rad switch Newsouth inlet mani gasket Plastic rocker cover New starter motor Alternator tensioner and belt Well as you can see quite a bit to do but I'm off work for a few days so don't need to rush! Ill try to get some pictures up and may need your help if I stumble across anything! Fingers crossed everything will run smoothly ! :)
  10. They do and if you have a complete tool kit in the spare wheel ,you should have one! Sometimes see them on Ebay ! :)
  11. How good are they at getting dents out alongs creases ?
  12. Lovely cheers Supercharged ! :)
  13. Im replacing my tensioner in the next couple of days. I was just wondering what size and length bolt I need to release the tension?
  14. So do you in that picture! lol  If That is you ? No you are right ,Im thinking about getting some angel eyes but Ive always been umming and arring ???
  15. I just feel as though its the headlights that give the Corrado character. Changing them to much spoils the timeless style Ive always loved!
  16. Boy racers and Lexus style spring to mind ! Not to sure about them really :| !
  17. Ive just fitted a one off quality uprated headlight loom with some Philips Vision plus bulbs. I could notice a considerable difference even without the loom and just the bulbs! Now with the loom its even better, and gives out a white light! Ive added some 6 watt Philips Blue Vision that has complemented the headlights nicely! Just another cheaper option for people without Inpros, or with !
  18. Are you using a uprated loom ?
  19. Is it the bulb holders and the ballast we need, loom etc?
  20. Well if it makes you feel better I think mine has probably got a dent on every panel ,which I must say are quite minor and I didn't notice them when I brought it! Not to mention a couple Ive done myself ! Was thinking of putting up with it till I can afford a pukka quality respray! Although that is probably going to set me back a small fortune  . Was thinking of giving a company called Dent Magician a call for a quote. Has anyone dealt with these people or have any stories? I hear that sometimes they drill little holes into hidden areas to push out dents that are hard to get to and stick bungs in them! I don't know if I like the sound of that. Hope you get it sorted mate. Its a bit annoying walking up to your motor and seeing the imperfections , I should know !
  21. Any other cars that we may be able to take parts from?
  22. Cheers Ill bare that in mind! Ill probably borrow my mates cordless impact driver ! corradovr6sc, pm sent mate ! Is there anything else I may of forgotten? I'm replacing the inlet manifold as well ,and I think all I need is the injector seals ?
  23. I'm going to be fitting my 264 cams next week. I have been advised by Vince that I may need a new cam impulse sensor ,which I think bolts on near the end of a cam? Question is ,this costs about £50 so I was wondering if it was completely necessary to get one just in case I break it removing it? Has anyone fitted cams their self and managed to keep the original sender in tack? Any story of having to remove the inlet and rocker again? Any feed back would be great cheers!
  24. Oh Im so sorry! lol What happens when it goes into the A post ,which I would say is part of the body no?
  25. Do you know what happens inside the body? The painted bit that it joins? Cheers for looking!
