  1. Right sorry if Im boring everyone ,but Im close to taking a base ball bat to my car :bad-words: ! Changed the lambda ,which was a little bit of a pain to change having to drop the down pipe etc. It made no difference the cars still over fuelling ,no fault codes now and still cutting out! I took the vac hose of the FPR and drove the car and it didnt seem to cut out! Changed it over with a 3 bar one Ive got from a 2.8 and doesnt seem to cut out as much. I think this is just because Ive lowered the pressure? Ive still got popping exhaust ,kangarooing and lumpy idle! I still cant carry out the basic settings procedure. Can the ISV effect the overall fuelling and running of the car? What other things could cause over fuelling? Im starting to think that the ECU is up the blink and thats probably why I cant do the Basic settings maybe? Really could do with some help on this one cheers!
  2. It hasnt really helped me out though ,Im starting to think my ECU up the blink!
  3. The version is 311.2 and there are no fault codes showing at the minute. Ill try and get some shots up. Heres the trouble Ive been having ,has this got anything to do with it? Ive just put a new lambda but still seems to be the same! http://www.the-corrado.net/.archive/forum/viewto ... highlight=
  4. Im trying to carry out BS on my vr6 but every time a go into Engine 04 and select 001 the GO button de highlights not allowing me to proceed! Does anyone know what is going on here?
  5. Decided to start the BS procedure again ,disconnecting the bat and taking for a 30 min run. Got back with the engine still running the same ,over fuelling and plugged the laptop in. Checked the fault codes and they were clear. Went into BS and still couldn't select GO! Went back into fault codes and there it was again "Lambda - adaptation limit not reached" ! I really do hope a new probe will sort this out!
  6. corradovr6sc, that would of been great mate but Ive only just read the post, cheers anyway! Just plugged the laptop back in and the lambda seems to be doing what it should! Tried to carry out BS but still the GO button doesnt highlight on 001! Has this got anything to do with the adaption code thing that I have never typed in ? Also got a fuel adaption not reached fault code! This is starting to wind me up a little! :x
  7. Right guys just got back from Gatwick to pick up my braided fuel lines at Parcel force depot. WOW! I think the MAF must of had a problem as it pulled like mad! It has never pulled as strong ,so pretty pleased about that! Still have got the over fuelling issue though. I was wondering whether I carried out the BS procidure wrong? When you say warm up period do you mean I have to run the car from start at temp for 2 mins before carrying out BS?
  8. Cheers corradovr6sc, but I really need to get this sorted today! Im probably going to order a probe today. When previously looking on vag com the lambda did seem to move up and down fast between 1.000 and 0.900 or there abouts! I really hope a new probe solves it otherwise Im going to be  !
  9. Having a few running problems with my VR after carrying out a few mods! Ive recently fitted 264 cams, ported inlet manifold and TB. Seemed to run fine for a while ,but then it began playing up! It starts up first time but you have to be gentle with it cause it can stall. It developed a misfire and I ended up replacing the coil ,plugs and leads. That sorted the misfire ,but now it seems to have a fuelling issue! The car cut out every now and then on every journey, so I cleaned the ISV. The idle got worse ,lumpy. I changed the blue temp switch as it sounded as though it may be running rich ,popping from exhaust etc. This didnt really change much so I ended up replacing the MAF today! Took the car for a spin to do basic settings and the idle was all over the place ,and stalled pretty much every junction! The car did seem to pull better I felt ,but the idle and stalling was pretty bad. I plugged the laptop in to try and carry out BS and cleared a fault which read something like " Lambda something not reached" went into BS and selected 001 but it would not let me select GO. Looking at the lambda level it was at 0.7900 or round abouts! Went back into fault codes and the same fault was there! Is this why I cant select go? Do you think most of my problems have been a fecked probe? This is really driving me mad and Ive been throwing money at it for long enough now !! :x I quick reply would be smashing ,I need to get it sorted for the Pod on sunday! :)
  10. Brakes look good where did you bget them from? Did you paint them yourself? Good luck with the install ! :)
  11. Alright then ,the front does look very scabby though!
  12. Ive changed my suspension setup recently with Koni TAs and H&R spring and am looking to build on it further. After Reading this thread Ill probably go for a Neuspeed rear with standard front with polys. My question is though ,my cars done just over 125k now and was wondering would there be any benefit buying a new oe front arb? Do they last forever or weaken with age? I will change the axle bushes also with standard items.
  13. You should change that if you havnt before anyway as it can make a lot of difference in the drive ability of the car ,smoother more responsive! It did when I changed mine ,but I dont reckon thats the stalling problem.
  14. Sorry what filter are you talking about here ? :?
  15. Have you Force inducted yours A20 LEE, ?
  16. I thought Powerful custom made the exhausts to your spec on the car? Surely if you ask for it not to be too loud they would cater for it? Planning on getting one custom made on mine after I buy a six branch! I think they supply high flow cats that I would also be fitting. Im not saying that the G-werks isnt a good option either ! :)
  17. Right fed up with the car at the minute,Im going to have a break from it till saturday when Ill have a new sensor for the DVG body. I will then mess around with VAG COM ,basic settings and all that. Im going to give it a treat to a expensive oil change using Motul 300V 10w 40! Ill let you know if all is solved saturday ,sorry if ive been a boring pain!
  18. Can I just add that when I put the original throttle on yesterday I did forget to put the breather hose back in the big inlet pipe! So it was running and cutting out with the pipe off for a while ,I then popped the bonnet and put it back in and carried on. Could this mean that I need to run it through basic settings or something because thats messed all the settings up??
  19. I put the Pierburg one back on yesterday ,and I was still getting cutout problems when decelerating from a few thousand rpm! I took it off just and adjusted the pot as shown in the Bentley manual and I think it may of got slightly worse!! Do you reckon it could have something to do with the cable adjustment as the inlets moved say 3mm ish? This is really starting to frustrate me and drive me mad !!
  20. Right heres some pics for you! I think I can get a sensor for the DVG but at £75 + ,your having a laugh! The difference in part numbers after having another look is a B on the end of the Pierburg number I think thats why he quoted me £75 and not £40?
  21. Ive taken the car for a spin today to VWs with the flowed DVG TB and let the parts matey have a look.He immediately said it wasn't an original Pierberg ,but the part no for the TPS was good! I explained that it was the same as the one on the Pierberg but they are not interchangeable. So I think that Im a bit stuffed at the minute and there's not a lot I can do! He did mention that the TPS was also £75 + Do they chop and change there prices when ever they feel like it? Anyway on the drive there it didn't cut out every time but quite often! It seems to be idling in the middle of 0 and 1000 ,which I think is a bit low? Even when it doesn't stall it still drops the revs to low and then blips up again. Apart from the idling issues and cutting out it runs very well indeed! I think I'm going to take the TB off again and have a look at the pot adjustment and see if that helps? Ill get some pictures up soon ,Ive got the camera off my gf but forgot the USB! Any advice welcome cheers!
  22. This is a DVG TB opposed to a Pierberg if that helps? The bolt holes are 32mm apart as opposed to 52 mm ish!
  23. Ill have to get a picture up of the one Ive been sent from Micha in Germany, it will definitely not fit my original TB the thread holes are in a different place! Where it would screw in is solid alloy, blanked off! Thats why I was saying about needing a new TB. Why when putting the original TB back on is it stalling worst than when I had the flowed one on? Cheers for the help mate! Ill have another fiddle with the VAG COM tomorrow. The car flew down the dual carriage definitely a improvement !
  24. Cheers kev I quite enjoyed it! So your saying that the one ive got on the original TB is the early big type? So this means if my original TPS was knackered Id have to get a new TB ,because there not interchangeable as I said? Ive now put the old TB back on after disconnecting the battery and now Im getting it stalling at every stop again with lumpy idle! Ive got a copy of VAG com but dont know how to get the measuring blocks up.I have version 311.2. Do you have to let it do a complete scan before you can get the option to read blocks? I did take the sensor off the original just to be nosey ,could this of fecked it up? Is there a certain way you have to put them back on? Any help on this would be great ,its starting to do my head in a bit ! :?
