  1. It's easy when you've had them break down on you lots.....
  2. You've obviously not 'had the pleasure'... I really don't think we want to let the Toad get out more than he currently does! Coooooeeeeeeee!
  3. Saw an L reg very shiny red corrado somewhere near the A35 at around 3ish, got a wave back, and chased a black N reg corrado down coming through Wareham back onto the A35 around 5.30. Old people driving though, probably weren't interested in this forum...
  4. I think I'm just wavering on the precipice. :cuckoo: Just wondering if anyone was a bit too anal, like me, and sat listening to things.
  5. I've got another sender, admittedly second hand, and it seems a lot more accurate now.
  6. Remove the bottom cowling, and you can unbolt the adjuster.
  7. Just a splined socket. Can't remember the size, but you can buy a rail of them from Halfords for sensible money, and that will include the one to undo driveshafts. If I remember I'll try to find out which is the right size tomorrow when I go to finish the VR off.
  8. Do it from underneath. remove the heat sheild from the driveshaft, and you can just get on to it. Shit design. :(
  9. Was a good evening! Cheers for your thoughts on the car. Really made me appreciate it a bit more... Fitted a set of injectors which I've had cleaned to it tonight, and finished refitting all the engine covers and plastics. Going to drain the engine and gearbox oil tomorrow as I've covered about 650 miles, and want to make sure any contaminents are out of her. Washed the 16v last weekend and left it at my parents, came to drive it home tonight, and the brakes were well stuck on, the handbrake is feeling slightly seized, and the stereo won't work. Think it's trying to teach me a lesson! Will give her a good blast this weekend and try to use it a bit more over the coming weeks.
  10. Tonight after fitting injectors I was lying under the car with the engine running, listening out for a funny noise I can just hear. Has anyone else done this? How about pressing your ear up to the sump and gearbox? Ever been surprised by the funny noises, and how loud things seem? Am I just over thinking and worrying myself about things that aren't really an issue?
  11. I wouldn't worry about having too small a drill. Chances are the hole will be in the wrong place anyway, even if you line it up carefully with the new barrel, so a bigger hole will make it easier... It's all pretty easy when the cowling is off.
  12. Have you got the old one out by drilling the little hole? The new one just slides in and you press the little spring down as it butts up against the lock housing.
  13. rougher than usual? :D Would I need to plug both the pipes if I did remove it? Yes. Dunno, the search will tell you. :)
  14. I wouldn't bother. It can introduce rough running issues on VRs.
  15. Yup. :) How're things going? You'll probably see me scampering around in the white VR some time soon. Not to bad thanks. Have a few issues with the fueling at the moment  Need someone who can adjust it for me as I don't have the ability! Its on K-Jet! Bring it over if you want. I've set mine up myself and it's been alright.
  16. But that's the point. It's just not worth worrying about. What's the point in getting uppity in an internet forum, talking bollocks about something noone will care about in 10 years? Or making statements for the sake of it? I barely struggled to entuse myself enough to write that sentance, and then I wavered because I might be contradicting myself. :camp:
  17. Errrrmmmm I don't want to upset you, but..... You can't fit the PAS rack with the subframe in place, unless you remove the steering column. you need space to lower the steering column UJ onto the rack.
  18. That does look forking tidy now Phillipa. Really impressed with how you've cleaned the bay up. :)
  19. I can't help but to not un-agree with that I'm telling a mod on you. You're deliberately trying to antaganize me in to an argument. I totally disagree with that kind of behaviour. Or any other kind of behaviour for that matter. You're both banned unless you send me pictures of yourselves in your pants.
  20. Have a look through the classifieds and see what you think it might be worth. Its not a sellers market at the moment, though. :(
  21. Why do people care so much? It's just a lump of metal and rubber that will let you down? Far more important things to worry about in life.
  22. And the rest  Mine cost £35 when I did it.

It does appear to be 2.25" MrBeige just measured up a spare pipe he has. :) I thought it was 2.5" originally.
  24. Because when the bearings go, they chew into the block.

Cheers! I should have measured the size of the pipe while under the car. Balls!
