    What is this wire?

It's supposed to be for an oil temp sensor that wasn't fitted to uk spec cars apparently.
  2. I love Cossies, and would have one any day of the week. :)
  3. The transponder box should plug into a plastic pick up ring that sits around the ignition barrel. Does this help at all?
  4. Moved to suppliers.... Have a search, been asked lots...
  5. :) Good work.... If a job's worth doing, it's worth doing properly... :)
  6. How much is a new grille, and a new cable if you have the existing clip break? :) Lol. That was a bit of a pain in the arse when it went. Lucky I'd just had to fix mine, so had a little practice with them.
  7. Get on with sorting out the Corrado, you slack fecker. Or we'll send Tom over with his 'goodie' bag.. ROFL... I'm still working on a price for sending you the "good stuff"... Car was lovely and taut and very quick in the summer. :) Don't think I got any photos though...
  8. :) Good work.... Just got my new MOT certificate. :) No work whatsoever, apart from throwing a sidelight bulb in last night. :)
  9. Great stuff! Your a rather hairy angel :D did wonder how we sorted that lot out. Let me know what the damage is. :) No worries. I'll give you a shout somewhen in the future. :D
  10. Mate... That's shit. Really sorry. :(
  11. Looks stunning Dave. Been meaning to catch up about the springs. Think I've arranged a second set, so you can hang onto those ones. :)
  12. There's technical advice, and then there is telling people to unplug a system connected to the brakes. If you take a step back and look at it, should people be giving advice to drive a car with a known fault on a critical system? How would it stand up in court if you were asked if you knew that the car had been tampered with. Fair enough taking your own car apart, but I'm not entirely sure about advising other people. I'm not trying to be argumentative, but with safety related issues, the first advice should probably be don't drive it until you can get it fixed.
  13. Indeed. I don't know where the forum stands if you park your car on a small child because you followed advice on here.... Please use your discretion kids....
  14. Please be aware that your braking will be affected by unplugging the ABS, and driving round with it acting up...
  15. Just replaced the ZAU with a ZAM but my bro has the spreader and book down in Cirencester. Can give you rough settings for blue bag and 0 24 24 but its too costly this year to throw around willy nilly. Would recomend a call to Amazon just up the road from us, they are really helpfull for setting instructions. pm me and I'll dig out my old records and or number if you like! Would be nice to do a special conversion, 24v or something, but I dont use this one to the limit so the extra power would be wasted on me, not a good enough driver :nono: A standard rebuild has got to be the easiest option [i hope] :) Excellent cheers! Amazing what you can find on a website for VW Coupes! Can't believe the price of fertiliser these days! I heard that a lot of spray is difficult to get hold of because of the trouble in Gaza, and I imagine netwrap and stretch wrap will be more expensive too. Not sure what we're using at the moment. I know we've had some special stuff for a particularly deficient field, but can't for the life of me remember what the hell it needed. Don't tend to throw much on since we stopped growning Barley. Funnily enough my sister went to the Royal Ag College in Ciren.
  16. If I manage to get out of bed this weekend we'll look at removing mine with a grinder....
  17. That was (still is?) a lovely car.
  18. Wonder if it is Steve Gooding's old car?
  19. I've not seen this thread before. Looks awesome Dave. Just nosing through the background of the pics, and we've just picked up a cheap amazon ZAU spreader, only ever seen about 10t through it. :) Sadly the book with the spreading rates etc was destroyed. :(

    pain in the hide !!

I really like the standard seats, and I'm 6' 1" and pushing 18 stone at the moment.
  21. Thought it was only a matter of time after our last few conversations... Shame to see it go mate, but nothing lasts forever...
  22. Damn, so it really isn't rocket science........ ROFL. There's a new car being built, once again to be piloted by Andy Green aiming for 1000mph apparently... Only 6t as opposed to Thrust's 10t weight.
  23. Right... I've merged the topics. Cheers guys. Tom.
  24. Bonjour. Could we keep this discussion to the Definitive guide, thereby making it exactly what it says on the tin, and hopefully answering similar questions in the future? I'm off to work out how to merge threads.... :)
