  1. Think they were standard spec on the US cars. Search for Knee bars.
  2. Not a fan of the badge, doesn't look quite right. Voted ham though.
  3. 55l tank on early cars, 70l tank on later cars. I'll let you do the maths ;) VRs get 30mpg roughly.
  4. You can fix two mini front subframes together to create a twin engine, 4wd, 4 wheel steer, child gobbling weapon. Brrrrmmmmm brrrrmmmm.
  5. No, this is for the VR. I don't think the late corrados have amplified bases. Need to check when I'm next near the car. Anyway, enough people are saying they're crap in the other thread to put me off. So I'll hunt down an OE replacement.
  6. I'd be a bit careful about that, I've heard stories of cheap metal impellors causing cavitation and snapping, which causes a far beigger problem tan little bits of plastic, and also if the bearing goes, the metal blades can chew into the block. See what price a genuine VAG unit is, and what sort of blades it has. Oh and get some better sized jubilee clips!
  7. Does anyone know where I might eb able to get a shark fin type aerial from? I've seen a few about, but can't find them for sale.
  8. Hi, anyone use a shark fin style aerial? Do you get good radio reception? I mostly use the radio and I don't want to compromise the signal.
  9. It's in a nice garage... all 40 x 75 feet of it. ;) Have to move out by Crimbo though as the cattle want somewhere to live.
  10. It's really shiny where the bush it was parked in rubbed the dirt off...
  11. Cheers dude. :) Lined 2 wheels up today... :) But I think I'm going to refurb all four of them after snuffling around them properly. Oh, and the stance looks pretty good...
  12. The coolant was circulating, although it might not have been going round as quickly as I would expect, I'm really not sure. The bottom hose just wasn't geting as warm as I thought it should. It got warm, but not anything like the top hose. I'd chuck a new pump on for peace of mind John, they're pretty cheap...
  13. It goes up and down and occasionally breaks.
  14. Get a decent side on pic of her at the moment and chop the rims on., or I could bring one up next month.
  15. Luckily, I am a photoshop genius...
  16. Lol. Cheers! going to try to get the paint cut back, then work out which panels need paint soon. Picked up some new wheels from Shaggy today (Cheers Fay). Mocked one up and quite like it... Going to touch the wheels up a bit before fitting them, but thy're a far better base than my old speedies.
  17. Sorry to hear you didn't get on with the konis/pis Hasan, do you want to sell the Pi springs?
  18. Tilt it and you can see the metal clip things, on the backs of these are rubber rings, the one that is sticking will have a flat spot, try rotating it so the back of the clip is higher up and then try sliding again. Any issues, msn me or something.
  19. The mechanism fits, although I needed to put some packing between the roof and the panel on the front 4 bolts, but the glass from a passat is a better fit(it's still a bit poo though) Was the passat an estate or saloon? How about the Toledo? They are the same as passats...
  20. Fuel & contaminants go in one end, contaminents stay in filter, fuel comes out other end? ;) Good to see you're getting somewhere though.
  21. :) Cheers. Might just get on and sort the interior this week/month/year, then it's onto the exterior.
  22. Well MPG fans, more updates... Germany trip = 1100 miles and 124 litres (27.28 Gallons) of fuel therefore... 40.32 mpg  I also robbed a mk3 of it's sunroof mech today and used it in conjunction with the glass passat panel I had to produce this...
