  1. Could have a long distance corrado meet and do an article for the sprinter  Sorry, perhaps I'm getting a bit too excited
  2. Dont think these compression results mean an engine rebuild is required, they are well within tolerance still, perhaps lower output is showing another problem such as air leak / mixture, injectors etc. And if youre looking for a good mechanic/specialist I would recomend DG Autotech, two for the price of one :notworthy:
  3. Does this help?2467.JPG[/attachment:3jp0eyyj] dont think its crucial which hole it goes in to
  4.  will pack a polishing cloth to get my fix
  5. Gidday, will be over in Perth shortly, will keep an eye open for it  Are you any where near the Ocean Reef area?? Will be staying with friends who have just moved out there. Takes serious financial commitment to import one of these, its got to be worth it though, not many over there :notworthy:
  6. Nonsense.. they stuck them on the MK3 Golf! Common as muck!! :D ;) and I thought they were special  Not many fitted to the rado though, think they were fitted to the Campaign and 92 model Vr, only seen 3 corrados with then on
  7. Speedlines are so common, Monte Carlos are a bit special  :wave:036.JPG[/attachment:9howw3sj]
  8. We need slow drivers, or there would be nobody to overtake and fast drivers to and envy :notworthy: [i just wish I'd got an engine in mine at the mo!!] Its all part of the rich tapestry of life :)
  9. Hi Pete, Looks a tidy bit of kit! :notworthy: You just cant help yourself, modifying already, talk about perfectionist :salute: Its a bloody good job you are handy with the spanners cos the service costs at the dealers for these things are astronomic, and if you ever need to replace that one piece exhaust you will have to take out a mortgage  I'm sure you will get years of fun from this if you keep it long enough  I second your comments on D&G, :notworthy: :notworthy: I know mine will be sorted this time, it is in good hands now   Did I miss a trick the other day Pete, have you got some 263s available??
  10. Hi Kip, Really sorry to hear of your loss, and the damage to the raddo mate :pale: Dont you be holding Dave & Graham up too much, :nono:
  11. quality storage facilaties are available if you are still away  Kip; will pick up a conditioner from the CCshow at the NEC, dont need one for now because Dave and Graham are looking after it for a while to work some magic into the motor :notworthy: :notworthy:2509.JPG[/attachment:2ojatnkv]
  12. Oh the joys of corrado ownership, its a bottomless pit now you've gone this far, you are hooked, it draws you in, you dont know when to stop, you are an addict :pale:  top work though :notworthy:
  13. Hi Mawrich, yeah, noticed on your gallery you only have one brake line, I have recently bought a left hand drive german Vr6 for spares and noticed it too had just the single brake line!! I have not seen a uk registered raddo without dual lines, dont know why this should be  Your project is coming on a treat :notworthy: I would love to personalise mine but have gone down the concours route :brickwall: :brickwall:
  14. Thanks guys for the comments, Kip and Jude: Lift is always available but a fee of 1point at the next concours competition will be levied  Vag hag; hope to pick a charger up from the classic car show this month, no more boiled battery :nono: Emkayvr6; have just read your gallery and concluded that you must be a nutter to volunteer to hang on to a sidecar unit on a race track, I tried passengering a dirtbike unit a while ago :pukeright: , 5 minutes was as much as I could stand, the strength required to hang on against the g force was unbelievable :notworthy: keep up the good work on your corrado 037.JPG[/attachment:2h6vghpd] £160 for the set, bargain of the year
  15. Have been off the scene for a while for a number of reasons but have rekindled my love affair with the Corrado. The car has been sat for 3months so decided to give it a clean and polish, replaced the battery which had run dry due to constant trickle charge, must get a better conditioner unit, and dropped on a brand new set of monte carlos in the boxes [bargain off ebay-cheers Kip]036.JPG[/attachment:gqzs2nzx] Thanks for the comment 3 months ago Toad, sorry for the long response, have noticed you have been very productive with yours in the interim, looking good:notworthy:
  16. Another one for identification on a german Vr6 on a J plate C2D [part no. 610601025] according to code option site on CCGB links The sizes listed on the site are not correct so part numbers may not be!! Anybody know about this one?
  17. Option codes on the sticker in the boot, particularly wheel options, anybody know which code refers to which wheel type? Thinking C5W is the Westwood C2B is the Solitude C5K is the speedline C2C is the Monte Carlo C0J is the Sebring Hopefully somebody out there with far superior knowledge to me could add to, or confirm, my thoughts on this :help:
  18. What is the black chrome effect on the dust shields, is it something that comes in a can, powder coating or hot dip?? Looks cool by the way :)
  19. Hi Pete, Evo is looking good mate considering it isn't a corrado  , bet you are enjoying the reliability not to mention the performance. Nice to meet you at the BVF by the way, sorry I didnt have more time to chat, a little hung up on the concours comp I'm afraid, still the results were encouraging
  20. I had the pleasure of driving Dave's VrT today, bloody amazing, and that was in 'tame ' mode  turned down to 290bhp :notworthy: Many thanks for the work on mine today, it is running smoother after the adjustments, but will have to sort the compression issues, I will keep you informed guys
  21. Thanks Kip The only rust I found was on the jacking points behind the subframe and a little around the towing eye at the back, all cleaned and treated before recoating. Still seem to have engine issues, Dave and Graham had a look today and there is definate pressure differance on no.2 which will need to be investigated, still causing uneven running and power loss. :bad-words: I have just bought a spare motor which may be slotted in until its cured to keep me running  Dead chuffed at my 2nd attempt at concours at the BVF, just 1 point behind Judiths storm and not that far behind Chris Gaskills rocco :notworthy: :notworthy: Will try third time lucky approach after a few more improvementsBVF 012.JPG[/attachment:14qgexpt] Loved the show, beautiful area and made some new friends, will be back next year
  22. Gearbox looks brill Kip, will be interesting to see if the painted finish lasts longer than blast and coat with WD40?? I was in two minds which to go for, I should think it doesnt get too hot for the paint, and perhaps takes less looking after to maintain the finish
  23. Think I have just broken through the 10K level after a complete engine rebuild and a second Vr6 for spares. Really hope thats it now
  24. Apologies if they are wrong, will check against mine today! It was a while ago and my memory isn't what it used to be
  25. Here you go!!??002.JPG[/attachment:8r45jwjn]
