  1. I just bought a new bosch item, got it today. Came from Germany so had to wait a week, cost £230 though. Looks great so i'm trying to feel happy about it..
  2. Just phoned VW and they come to about £240 for front and back mounts, so might give that a miss for now. Am sure my engine wobbles about more than it did when i first installed the mounts, might have to take them off and inspect them.
  3. I plan to go back to standard VW mounts, so will probably be selling my jay poly mounts.
  4. Lock might just need greasing. The bit in the door that meets the latch on sill. But from inside
  5. Not spotted any corrosion so hoping there is no rust. Will see what happens. What trim do I remove? Scuttle panel will be renewed as got another already. Do I need to remove anything inside? Like a pillar covers and roof lining at the front.
  6. Windscreen needs doing, needed it for a while, but recent chips have meant i finally have to get it done. Is a local windscreen guy who is meant to be really good, have rang him up and talked to him and he sounds like he will make a good job, treating any rust etc. He is quoting £395 to do the job, using a pilkington screen. He isn't a approved fitter with my insurance company so i end up paying £295 of that, basically insurance give £100. If i use insurance it will cost me £90 but i don't know what fitter i'll get and fear it getting rushed or bodged. Am mostly decided i'll pay the £295.
  7. Had this recently, mucked about for ages and turned out to be the stick on column for lights, bought a non-genuine ebay one and it fixed it.
  8. I think it all comes back to this plus suspension revision that happened, am not sure my VW nuts came with nylon inserts

    vr6 cat

I do need one, but buying so much at the moment. Any pics? Age & condition?
  10. Sounds like ignition switch to me. Seem to be loads failed recently.
  11. Yeah price sounds good to me. Thanks for finding that. Pm me payment details. Should only need the belt bit. Mine has stopped recoiling every so often. Not looked but presuming I csn swap brackets over.
  12. Anyone on here interested in buying any parts?, thinking of selling my bike in bits as i need money for corrado. I have had the bikes for about 5yrs and done about 30miles on it, just not using it. Will get some details if anyone is interested.
  13. I think if you remove the door card it just pulls off, might have some clips along the metal part of door
  14. Super smashing great!

    Dipstick?

Not noticed it on mine, but the dipstick has a sort of seal on it that fits the tube just right so don't think i'm missing anything
  16. My drivers side seatbelt is really stiff to pull out now. Looking for a replacement, its drivers side, late VR6, black belt required.
  17. That one i bought from you Kev was a 120a, went straight on.
  18. I dropped mine off at an electrical place yesterday, was the original 90a Valeo one. I except a call soon to give me prices on either rebuilding the valeo with new parts or buying a bosch equivalent. The guy told me i wouldn't be able to buy a valeo anymore and would be very expensive from VW. I think most of it is replaceable and no reason it shouldn't be the same as new after that. Is also quite a lot of info and videos on youtube showing how to do it all yourself, but i can't be arsed with that at the moment.
  19. 240a is alot. Am just getting my 90a one rebuilt and car had aircon and heated seats.
  20. Ill buy the head stud and bolt kit.
  21. I do think I overtightened it. Went round tightening them all at the weekend because I can still smell coolant all the time.
  22. My temp gauge reads the same. Replaced everything including the entire engine and still does it. I wonder if its the actual dash gauge. Noticed lots of people with the same issue.
  23. Well got two 12v engines, one in the car and the other in bits which i will rebuild. But can see me swapping heads on the one in the car at the moment, so might buy some arps to use in car, then swap them to the new engine at some point. Didn't wanna put too much money into the engine i'm using now as it will be removed next year.
  24. I know i should, but in bentley manual it says they can be replaced for the jubilee style clips. Something else to add to my list.i
  25. Nice one. Still not sure if i should get them or just use some bolts. I wonder if they sell single ARP replacements.
