Really not sure what is going on. Just had a longer than normal journey in the corrado and during it the coolant light started flashing. I've been losing coolant, so thought i need to top it up again (doing it every 2days now) But when i pulled over and took cap off the tank, air came rushing out and the coolant level rose back up to the right mark, meaning i didn't need to top it up. When i am losing coolant i think its coming out the expansion tank overflow. How do i bled air out the system in case its an airlock? Have done the running it with cap off thing already.

There are a fiddle to get in. I think when i did mine i connected the ball joint up loosely, then slide the rear bush into place. Then it was a case of using a jack to push up the suspension from under the wheel hub/bearing housing and levering the front bush into place.

I took aircon out my car and to source non aircon fan and housing and the ducting. From what I remember the aircon fan is really quite different. Have got pics of them both. But on phone at the moment

I bought the ebay set, something daft like £13 for a set of 4, quite impressed tbh, i only got them to last the winter so took a gamble and reckon i'll get a couple of years from them

Nice one, think i'll take the chance on the ebay one for now.

What i don't like is there are crap looking ones and good looking ones. I like a car where all the variants look decent (like the corrado) I dislike them bringing out base models to cater for everyone. I think the VW badge represents cars for the typical family now and nothing exciting or sporty, just gimmicky compromise. Most of the top of range family hatchbacks look eye catching and "sporty" to most people, because of silly vents, big usually twin exhausts and fancy bumpers/wheels, its not far off the bodykit scene during the 90's.

Popped into a garage lastnight, and they seemed stumped as well. I'm quite sure its headgasket now as can't see anything else and i've changed most parts. They agreed it could be headgasket when i mentioned the noises in pipe from block to heater matrix.

Isn't that what kev had before the r32? or was that a 12v 2.8?

Think i need vagcom, done loads of searching the forum and i think i have the OBD2 style connector under my gear gaiter. The full rosstech kit is £260 and i can't really afford that at the moment, plus i doubt i'll use it very often. Are the ebay ones ok? Do i just buy an OBD2 cable and then download the software. I've read that usb ports on pc can cause some issues. And i'm not even sure my laptop has a serial port, is some old looking port on there, and looks like a pic of a monitor above it? It has 3 rows of five holes. Failing that is anyone near to CM6 2LX with vagcom that wouldn't mind doing some scanning?

I'm not expert at these things, i just go on what i read online to fix the car :lol: Need to get it down quick as the corrado is my only car now.

No. I've not got round to getting it yet. Do I buy an ebay cable? Is there a certain one I need? Never done anything like that before.

Fitted it now. Was more awkward than I had planned. Nearly rounded a bolt. Anyway. It doesn't seem to of changed anything. It's a weird one. Thinking of taking to a garage next for them to work out. Gsf might sell them, i end up ordering most corrado parts online as any where local never has anything in stock so i have to wait anyway.
