  1. I have mixed G12++ with G13 and it all seems coolanty still :D
  2. Well ever since i've been a member here, there has been a constant supply of corrados for breaking in the classified section and on ebay, so they have to be disappearing in numbers. If you go and look on autotrader, pistonheads or ebay for a nice corrado VR6 these days, you really don't have much choice or selection. Its about that time in their life where unless its been garaged and dry use only you really are going to need commitment to keep it going.
  3. Will try and get a pic. But right on top of the fusebox there was two fuses. Almost separate to the fusebox. Mine sat horizontally and I think there is a relay between them. ---------- Post added at 6:32 PM ---------- Previous post was at 6:29 PM ---------- Found this old pic. Fusebox has been pulled down but you don't need to do that. Its the two yellow ones you can just about make out.
  4. I should have a look actually, had all that area apart to remove aircon and fit new foliage seal etc, might be leaking for all i know as never checked
  5. I was suspecting maybe the pedal position sensor, but just a random guess really. I did replace the two front sensors recently but did use gsf ones not VW ones. Never got round to testing the ABS out after that, just wanted it back on the road. In the 6yrs and 70,000miles i've driven it has done it before, about 3yrs ago, but it really is once in a blue moon
  6. Can i just disconnect the ABS ECU? (one in passenger front footwell). Since i've had the car the wire on top of brake fluid res has always been off and the light on dashboard has been disconnected too. Lastnight i was turning around in a carpark and the ABS went mad, like it was like locking up and could hear the ABS vibrating etc also pedal went weird (didn't even have my foot on the brake pedal, i was driving forward at the time and was doing under 15mph) and the brakes sort of came on as if i was locking up. Stopped as soon as i put my foot on the brake pedal. I never really use the ABS, never really lock up and a bit worried about it, so wonder if pulling the ABS ECU out will bypass the system and basically be non ABS? Does it work like that?
  7. Could be the earth. Think there's a few in the tailgate all clipped onto the mechanism body. If the seal aroubd number plate light is perished it rusts and water gets in the inside of tailgate. That's where I'd look next
  8. When people say top of rad. Do you mean pour into the rad. Or down the hose that pulls off the rad. Goes to the thermo housing.
  9. I wanted one, but was put off by the people advertising them for some reason. Something didn't seem quite right
  10. Must say my Revell model arrived really quick, but then again it is a VR6 after all
  11. Never liked autos since i tried one for the first time and the guy wanted me to reverse it off the pavement and onto the road, i had only been driving a year or so. Went straight backwards and hit a car, then panicked and drove forward into a lamp post
  12. Anyone else use or tried these electronic cigarettes? I had a go of a builders one he was smoking and decided to give it ago. Looked around the internet about them and ended up with this I've smoked for about 10yrs now and the switchover was instant, didn't smoke at work all of last week and carrying on this week. I'd really recommend it. Although i find one of the liquid vapours is alot better than the other. To me feels and tastes exactly the same as smoking.
  13. When i used to work as a gardener for a summer with the council we would have to strim loads of grass. Was unreal the amount of car windows that got smashed from flying stones etc. But i think its the wrong time of year for cutting grass and was usually side windows, not windscreen. Still its solved a mystery a couple of times now
  14. Looks fantastic condition, very nice to start with.
  15. I think the photos make it look far better than it is up close. Got a few dings and little bits of rust on the rear end. Just sorted the front end rust out. And repaired quite a bit of paint with rattle cans.
  16. Cheers all. I always thought corrados look great pretty much standard. Have though about different wheels but with the potholes and rough roads I like the extra sidewall profile on the speed lines. Plus the tyres are cheaper.
  17. Here is my Heath Robinson bracket, could probably make it a bit better these days, but its worked fine for years and tens of thousands of miles
  18. Heres a nice photo of an early http://www.motorstown.com/images/volkswagen-corrado-g60-03.jpg
  19. Where did you get it from? Think i'm going to buy one as my other stalk went and my ignition switch worn out, so am expecting the wipers to break soon
  20. Lowered the suspension and its transformed the handling, still need a bit of tweaking done but its almost spot on now, really pleased and loving driving it now. Seeing as nothing was broken this weekend i gave it a bit of a wash. 21. Exactly the same as mine. Might change it tomorrow then. Just never got round to it. As everything else was ok
  22. Am pretty sure mine all lined up. Got some photos. But don't really show the timing marks
  23. Am over in thaxted. So quite near.
  24. Pretty cheap really. Seen them from £40-60 a pair. Quite easy to rebuild as well.
