Help with some wiring, Kinda corrado related
Jim Bowen replied to Jim Bowen's topic in Off-topic Chat
the sticker said 12v only, just reading the reviews for it on amazon and one mentions about the colours being suited to mains, but everyone is using it as 12v  i hate electrics. ---------- Post added at 12:44 PM ---------- Previous post was at 11:41 AM ---------- I've found out that i should do Brown to +, Blue to -, but not sure what to do with the yellow/green ---------- Post added at 12:53 PM ---------- Previous post was at 12:44 PM ---------- Sending it back, not to worry  -
Mine came out like that as well, i would of preferred them all the same, but once they are on and a bit used i never notice. Will probably get them powder coated next time as i already noticed some chips etc
-
Think i bought the wrong thing really, but will try and make it work and see what its like. Was meant to buy a light for working in the garage, thought i was getting something you stand on the floor and was about A4 paper sized. I've ended up with some sort of 12v caravans security light  I was thinking i get two wires with clips and just clip them to the car battery, but the light has three wires? Could it be wired to work off the mains 240v?

Sorry, i sold it all together.

I wouldn't mind some petrol tank straps if you got them, i can refurb them if they aren't too rusted -
Pic of what i had to trim off, only a tiny bit next to where the bonnet stay rests in the bonnet.
-
No, the space saver won't go over 288's, which is why i'm thinking of a full sized spare. Although i've seen factory cars were the spare doesn't fit the front, think it was a Civic type R i'm thinking about
-
Really? Seen all three on ebay but they look too tatty, might just cut a hole in my existing one so the wheel pokes through
-
My brothers ECU died recently as well, weird how things just fail like that. Thinking i will disconnect it anyway, some places say leave the battery connected as it prevents "spikes" in the system which can damage components
-
Am i right in thinking there are two different boot carpets? One enabling you to carry a full sized spare, will that work with vr6 speedlines? Quite fancy one.
-
Bit weird to buy a car and only drive it home then leave it there for 4yrs
-
Last time i had some welding done i disconnected the ECU and the ABS ECU. Found a little hole that needs doing on the rear arch Is it really needed to remove the ECU's, its just i've covered them all back up again now :(
-
Nice one. Looks good. Am hoping to have mine back in a week or two. Been about 18months without it.

Didn't craigowl have something similar recently? Think he had to get a new ECU? -
Yeah, or suggestions for alternatives, could probably re-sure my ones if i got desperate but there is loads of glue and paint on the back
-
Mine are unscripted, i got them off without breaking but fancied new ones, the passenger side has most of the paint from the sill stuck to it.
-
Am after the black covers that go along the sill, you see them when you open the door. Not sure about the stainless one, look a bit out of place
