Thought this was quite cool....

Its just a car, dunno why we get so serious about it, just enjoy it and if you can help someone else then help someone else. I've never been to a meet so can't comment on that side of things., but i get help from the forum and try to offer advice back and i like other peoples views on here, on some forums i go on everyone is just a sheep and just "likes" everything, which gets a bit meaningless and tedious after a while.

I don't think mobile devices help, i find myself using my phone to read and check threads, but i can never be arsed to do any typing on it. I think to myself "i'll just reply later when the pc is on"

Getting rid of muck on suspension and brakes
Jim Bowen replied to blacktopsurfer's topic in Drivetrain
I've bought the bilt hammer deox stuff, used the gel and the powder. I found the powder good for soaking stuff in, didn't really get on with the gel, it works, but messy and a bit awkward. Also to note, don't buy it, Its just citric acid and much cheaper on ebay http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/1000g-1kg-Citric-Acid-food-grade-Long-shelf-life-for-brewing-bath-bombs-descaler-/270958120373?pt=UK_Home_Garden_Food_SM&hash=item3f165ccdb5 ^^does exactly the same job, i also heard that the deox gel is just that powder mixed with wallpaper paste. I wouldn't bother doing the discs though, i did my wheel hubs, calipers etc and they came up like new.. I took them all off though and soaked in the citric acid ---------- Post added at 10:18 AM ---------- Previous post was at 10:15 AM ---------- -
I was thinking the other week we seem to have lots of new members signing up. I do sometimes see a lack of advice in some threads. I know most of us have been there and done that and the solutions may seem obvious to us. But no harm in repeating ourselves. It's not all the time.. but I feel some of us. Me included. Assume someone else will sort it out.

Think I will be getting it. Is it multiplayer?

It's all the **** coming out his mouth. Keeps his chin fertile.

If you get manifold off you will have a small amount of thread sticking out from the snapped bolt. Worth soaking bolts with plusgas a day before you plan to undo them. Really seemed to help on mine.

I have recaro badges i am going to sew into my mats

Just thought i'd add to this thread, i've needed new mats since i bought my corrado, finally decided to order some and went with these http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/VW-CORRADO-89-96-TAILORED-CAR-FLOOR-MATS-/170565446535?ssPageName=ADME:L:OU:GB:3160 £10.99 for all 4, i was willing to take the chance and even if they only lasted the winter months and stopped all the mud i'd be happy. They turned up the other day and i was really quite impressed with them, fit the footwells perfectly and feel quite tough to me. Will find out how they last when i start driving car again
-
Might glue mine on this weekend

I reckon with a corrado being the first car you start with on Forza Horizon, that corrado prices are going to rocket and this time next year we will all be millionaires. :!

I've been using a Beru one for 4yrs and 50,000miles, had no issues at all, also using Beru leads. I'm quite anal too about using VW stuff, but took the chance with the Beru stuff

How about asking http://www.biggred.co.uk/ I can't view the site at the moment due to crappy work internet, so it may not be helpful. Ii rang them up once and found the guy very helpful

I'm wondering what other sorts of motor might fit in there, mine broke once and replaced with a 2nd hand one but can see it happening again
-
yeah, hard to get hold of, i've paid about £20 for each of mine, got 3 now, all broken in some way or another
-
Its a thing of beauty :)

It should fit straight on i would of thought, should come with spring plates as part of the coilover unit. As long as your top mounts are compatible with the plates. Any pics of the AP coilovers?

I like the standard vr. Am sure I'd like the r32 or a turbo more. But it's nice to be content with the standard engine. Makes my wallet happy and does the job.
