  1. Corrado is just right imo, not too old that its basic and looks like an old car, but not too new that its too hard to work on yourself. It can seem expensive on parts, but compare that to some modern cars with similar performance/style and its actually quite average. Can't find a reason to sell mine really, does all i want, looks great and i still enjoy it after 6yrs
  2. Bought this in the group buy and not going to use it, had my standard sump modified instead. Its brand new, i fitted it to car and took it off again, didn't even put oil in it. £60 delivered ---------- Post added at 12:35 PM ---------- Previous post was at 12:35 PM ---------- Display towel not included :D
  3. Anyone on here own one? Always wanted one and thinking of buying one. Really fancy the Flux HP as i've never seen the appeal of the nitro stuff, looks a load of grief and faffing about.
  4. i'll go and take a pic of mine ---------- Post added at 6:05 PM ---------- Previous post was at 5:03 PM ---------- pmsl, just been looking and my whole light unit is missing, am sure i put it in a bag somewhere
  5. Worth checking battery terminals too.
  6. Anyone spotted the new recaro leather seat covers yet? Buy it now price though. Not an auction.
  7. I think the metal type cover has the 3 half moons cut out on the right hand side of engine (timing chain side) whereas the plastic one doesn't
  8. Nearly finished now :D Just in time for the wet weather  oh well will plan to use it in the winter months
  9. Found a club to shoot at, some pics This is the back wall, 50yds out, plenty of knockdown targets Also an outdoor range and 400acres of farmland that you can hunt on. (not tried that yet) Still hardly going though, last time i went i was all on my own and felt a bit of a loner
  10. I bought both because i didn't know which one i needed, turned out i had a metal cover. This is the one i had left over and is for the plastic cover (sold it to robosri22)
  11. I bought some foam seal with a part number from VW for mine and it was just that foam stuff that is sticky one side, waited the 2-3days and drove to VW twice, once to order, once to pick up and i got a bit of that foam they had obviously just cut off a big roll, exactly the same stuff you can buy online or from most DIY shops. If i'd of known it was going to be that stuff i wouldn't of ordered from VW, felt proper ripped off, about £6-8 for less than a metre of one side sticky foam tape
  12. think gsf do the sensors am sure they weren't as much as £20
  13. What does the neuspeed thermostat do. I have one of them sat on the shelf. And also a spare standard one. I put my original in hot water and it seemed to open up and close again.
  14. Mine did this after renewing all the cooling system, sat just above 70c. Dunno if its fixed now, but i've taken car to bits and put it back together again, will find out soon. Tested the thermostat and nothing wrong with that. I thought it had something to do with the aux water pump being on all the time, but told this is normal
  15. My mate had one and wrote it off within 2 weeks, he also wrote a brand new car off on the drive home from dealership
  16. I reckon pull out aerials are going to make a come back, might retro fit one to my S3 anyway, even if its just for show i think i'll be a big hit out on the streets.
  17. New rad from VW comes with the elbow already fitted btw Think the water pump is about £50-60 and is an exchange item (return your old one) I also ended up doing everything on mine as it kept bursting in new places, rad, thermo housing, pipes all went within month of each other.
  18. I'd probably buy that off you Kev, mine is old and makes a grinding noise with all the rust i sanded into it
  19. Am sure the vr6 is 120. Was looking for one for mine.
  20. I ordered new hub nuts for mine while i was rebuilding it, then found out the new bearings i bought came with the nuts, then also found out the cv joints also come with new hub nuts, so i seem to have hub nuts everywhere!!
  21. I've used waterless washing on the corrado, only dared try one type of product though and thats "optimum no rinse" Will be using it on this bonnet shortly http://www.cleanyourcar.co.uk/washing-and-drying/optimum-no-rinse-32oz/prod_773.html
  22. I saw a guy take a photo with an iphone and it came up "saving" on the screen and a little buffering symbol. Actually surprised me that an iphone did things like that, thought it would be instant.
  23. Its looking like a corrado again!!, needs a really good clean and polish, i've had a lot of practice at that so kinda looking forward to it, not washed a car for over a year  Engine bay nearly done, just needs HT leads and some brake fluid, then a final clean up Went with silver for the engine cover, its actually some left over wurth alloy wheel paint, will probably change bits in the future but will do for now. ---------- Post added at 11:43 AM ---------- Previous post was at 11:34 AM ---------- Anyone know how i edit the thread title? i have done it before but can't remember how
