  1. mine is still the original stuff after 187,000miles, i think it will need replacing soon, but most of it is still there
  2. i've had this on previous car and it had blown the cig lighter fuse, which happened to control some other things.
  3. i had to replace my originals and got Beru ones, they have been fine for ages
  4. its that the relays in drivers side footwell?
  5. i did give all them a push, but figured it would have to be all of them or the main connector to coilpack to cause it to stall the way it did
  6. Visited a fishing lake on way home from work and the road was terrible, really bumpy farmers track. After that, when back on the road the car stalled a couple of times when coming up to junctions, both times it was slightly downhill and all power would cut out. Car started fine instantly after. Have checked the battery connections etc, but couldn't see anything loose? didn't know where else to look and can't replicate the problem.
  7. no one else around here seems to indicate anymore so i just join in with them, saves wear and tear on my stalks too 8)
  8. what is a lazy indicator?
  9. looks tidy, nice colour too 8) not sure about the tax disc positioning though :|
  10. i did mine when i replaced the switch last :)
  11. i've always find halfords paint come out the wrong colour, usually darker than the original
  12. yeah, i've found all that a bit of a mystery too, seems to split the video up, i was told about 2hrs of video is about right. what size memory card have you used?
  13. aha, nice one, i have the bottom plate of those two and am sure i had two screws that fit in the holes, fecks knows how the top bit can be missing :?
  14. i'm not sure what i need, but yes its the switch that bonnet presses when shut. i have the two bolts and they hold some piece of metal, but nothing is threaded like the switch, i assumed something had fallen off
  15. i did say sorry straight away and 1st gave the good commet which i still stand by  I spose its more of a dig at VW, i don't like red brakes etc either
  16. you may get some clamps, but doubt you will get hangers for it. not sure what the canisters are?
  17. lovely, has to be one of the best on the forum :notworthy: only thing i dislike is the red ht leads, they look like something from from a 17yrs old maxpower hatchback :( sorry
  18. my ABS has never worked since i've owned car, never comes on at all, and its never been mentioned :confused4: i might try a different garage next time
  19. i've never had a failed MOT on any car, tbh it makes me less confident the garage are checking things properly as no faults ever get picked up until i find them.
  20. yeah at the moment i'd put some plastic washers between the contacts so it doesn't work. its the original vag5000 alarm
  21. My alarm kept going off at random times and i found out from the flashing light it was something to do with bonnet. When i looked at the bit in photo it was in the holder but had nothing holding it in so every so often it would slip and alarm would think bonnet was open. Where on earth can i get the bit thats missing? I think its some kind of but, looked everywhere in my garage for something to fit :(
  22. was a good race, a bit quiet at times but had some good action with mincy
  23. have done it myself before, and my advice would be its really worth paying a professional to do them.
  24. sorry i think i have misunderstood this thread
  25. is the ek9 civic type R the import only one?
