isn't purple haze a wax? auto gylm super resin polish is great, especially on dark colours, follow that with a nice wax :thumbs:

my average speed is nearly always about 42mph :( just no straight roads around here and i hardly go on motorways, dual carriageways

been to VW and ended up buying both types of gasket to save being wrong etc, they are only £12 each. I take it the sealent stuff is any old stuff from local garage type shop?

i think 6 character plates look the best, just get something symmeticalish (new word right there)

when the bearings go do you get a knocking/thudding noise sometimes when turning? i ask as i did all new top mounts when fitting the coilovers but suspect after 10,000miles they are begining to fail, either that or its the steering rack.

i only have this pic, from when i got a gruvenparts bracket looking at the marks on water pump am sure one sat right at the bottom and the other tight up under the plastic part. Once you have the rubber lined up with holes where it mounts it should become obvious -
Before i go and buy one and attempt to fit it to cure leaking oil, is there anything important to know. Am hoping its a case of undo rocker cover, fit gasket, bolt everything back together.

am sure custom parts can be made. the land rover 101 i own is the same, hardly any parts can be bought for it new. The 101 club runs a spare parts scheme, like a group buy i spose, where they find a manufacture to make/supply custom parts. http://www.101club.org/spares/
