  1. its true, i read it on the internet  they say VW never claimed it in book figures, but they usually always make at least 185bhp all much of a muchness really, 10bhp here and there
  2. i'd face each hurdle as they come, thats how i've decided to live with mine, otherwise i spend too much time worrying about things
  3. i got a load off my car using clay bar, not sure what type of paint it was, but someone had sprayed something orange next to my car and covered the rear end in loads of tiny spots of orange paint luckily i had lots of wax on car so didn't really bond on or anything, came off reasonanly easy
  4. Nope! all Mk3 VR's are 2.8 174bhp! not true, i not read all the rest of this thread but someone else may of already broke the news to you by the time i reply. later ones using OBD2 make nearer 190bhp
  5. the highline golf is the same power as the corrado isn't it? you probably already knew tbh
  6. i bought a 1995 VR6 2yrs ago, it had 130,000miles, had it two years now and covered 35,000miles and spent £4000 in repairs. mainly suspension and drivetrain stuff have worn out, or things in the engine bay have started to perish just a guide, but every car is different, mine had just been maintained when needed when i got it
  7. don't go with the wooden one  carbon suits it, or could just spray it one colour like black or grey
  8. thats the stuff i was using, green extra virgin  i thought i had been buying dodgy steak for ages until i was told about this
  9. is it true that olive oil is no good for doing steak on a hot griddle? I was told it can burn and ruin the taste of the steak. I only found this out like a week ago...

  11. i just checked the youtube video of it, and its not a corrado its a cavalier that i reckon my buddy saw  idiot! i told him at the time if there was a corrado i would of noticed
  12. not read this thread so this may already of been mentioned but my mate reckoned there was a corrado in the pile of cars that the guy jumped the allegro into, almost the car he landed on?? is it true?

  16. can't wait to see the scores once updated, i did really well this weekend :D i'm gonna shit it
  17. what top/spring plate are you going to use on the rear? the one on the left doesn't look like it'll fit the middle one
  18. diesels torque is overated imo, i think a petrol could be just as impressive if it were geared in the same way etc petrol FTW 8)
  19. does it matter that stuff is for a 2.8 us spec corrado? or are most bits the same?
  20. i trapped my brother in an electric window when i was a kid, it made me laugh
  21. all the running temps have been fine, the heater matrix has been replaced once already by the previous owner and i have a new header tank cap, blue one. guess i'll just have to run it as suggested and check everything, i did think i was quite lucky to change it all and not have anything leak
  22. not long ago i fitted a new rad, crack pipe, thermo housing, a set of samcos and a few other bits to the car (vr6) been driving it sicne and all seems fine, but have noticed the coolant level going down very slowly, its taken a few hundred miles to lose about 1cm in the header tank. i can't see any signs of anything leaking, not sure where to check, what would be the obvious places, the trouble is thats its such a small amount there aren't any signs of a leak :( :(
