i think you can, i don't know any other differences they made to the suspension when VW changed it. not sure why mine made the funny noises 1st time around, but i just got the Pi springs anyway, they not actually very much money and i sold the weitec ones on so ended up costing very little if anything, apart from the time it took to swap everything over again, 2nd time round i used copper ease on pretty much everything i could the other thing i noticed is the early arrangement of early plate and mount is about 2" higher than the late style
  2. how much for the polo? got any spec/info etc?

i had the same problem, and did the same as you, went from standard late suspension to the same weitec kit. this is the early suspension arrangement this the late type here's a pic i took with both types of mount and both types of plate this is how i found it fitted with the early type stuff, (not the bumpstop and cover are wrong way round, ignore it) i put car all back together with the above arrangement and when turning at low speeds you have something "twanging" and generally feeling crappy, bit like you describe. only way i could see of getting rid was to use different springs that used the late arrangement, the weitecs are suited to early (larger top coil diameter) Pi spring with a late spring cap on top fitted perfectly with the late mounts and seems so much better
  5. if it needs changing they will, but as said the coolant can leak from many places
  6. i might do a team change on mine, the ferraris aren't bringing as much points the last few races
  7. no, not if the corrado is in great condition as said etc, has plenty of life in it still. i think the corrado seems more grown up than the vtec stuff
  8. he can now clone your car and avoid fines
  9. i;m a bit late in getting back to this thread, but been looking around for misfire and found this, i must of forgotten i made it :cuckoo: i have noticed sparks that come from the top of the coilpack where the lead joining it and the sparks jump to the metal thing sticking out of head above it. not sure if its leads or coilpack, i might change both, no doubt these things cost over £100 each
  10. from my little experience, but i have had two cars with the headgasket go, that looks very much like a head gasket problem to me.
  11. i might have some of those white rollers in my garage too, i'll try and look over the weekend if i remember
  12. looks much better after ripping all the bodykit off etc, like its been rescued  not sure about the primer look though, looked better black :(
  13. interesting, i took part in the group buy, but sold my tints on after seeing the pics of the indicators. i wondered about buying clear lenses and fitting the red tints to them, probably a silly way to do it
  14. hahah thats funny, coming from people supporting a twice superceded corsa with the first ever bodykit you could buy for it and 15" wheels :lol: tbh i wouldn't of even bothered entering a comp like that, probably best to lose
  15. i hope it all collaspes and goes wrong, i'd rather pitch a tent abroad somewhere and live in that than get myself in 25yrs of debt to live in a overpriced brick cube in the UK
  16. i agree, they really suit the corrado, thats why i'm not sure i'll change mine, that and i can't afford any rims i think are worthwhile getting over the speedliens
  17. a pic would be good, i want to try and keep the handle so the leather just sits up against the bottom of it, although i'm not sure i can be arsed with it anymore, gone back to the standard plastic trim now
  18. hi mate whereabouts in essex are you from? i find with my VR, i fill the tank up, costs £60-£70 and that lasts for 320 miles on average, pretty much all B-road driving. 400miles a week in a vr6 will be expensive and thats not taking into account things that break etc which seems quite common now seeing as the newest corrados are 12yrs old now
  19. ive got it, but can't figure out how its meant to fit, keep sending emails to the seller who says "it needs to be fitted over the plastic trim" which doesn't make sense to me.
  20. yeah thats why i sold the springs and got different ones that work with late VR Spring plates/caps so i now have late caps, late mounts and springs to suit
  21. seriously nice :D some of them pics should go in for the calander vote, especially the side on view, ill be having that as my new desktop for a while
  22. the halfords pro set as mentioned above is deffo worth getting, doesn't come with a torque wrench tho, but the rachets are nice. a breaker bar is also worth having with the black sockets, i got a 2ft snap on one from ebay for £50
  23. mine when i first got it, its a 1995 VR and lowered
  24. ahh, i never thought it could be something like the water pump, it seems to be from that area too. knowing my luck it will be that, its the only part of cooling system i didn't renew :?
