  1. oh dear lord  i think a standard mr2 would look better
  2. i might start parking across the bays so my doors are facing the way front and rear end should, that will confuse people, they won't know what to damage then. i've even started taking photos of the cars i park next to/near, so i have their reg and proof of damage if any
  3. i thought about inventing something that you stick on wing mirrors when you park which prevents people from parking within a certain distance of your car. the cruder and more nasty looking the better, as they would see it would damage their car more
  4. commonly know as pillars in my book a-pillar b-pillar c-pillar
  5. i need some paint on mine, but am specifically not getting the doors done, even tho they have quite a few dings. Just because i dread experiencing exactly what you just described :( shame really, but i only getting rid of a dent to wheel arch and some specs of rust on front arches, would love a complete respray and have it perfect, but i have to use public car parking, even the folks at work do it (boss's wife put a dent in mine and i wasn't too happy) really really angers me when i see people doing it, the rage takes over
  6. tis a dodgy time to buy a house imo, live in the C
  7. :( this is one of the best corrados i know of :( Shame not to get to see it complete
  8. whats involved in refurbing calipers as i will be needing some done soon, is it just the seals or do people replace the piston and other bits?
  9. thanks mate, i'll bear that in mind :) the sump was a bit leaky anyway so i didn't mind taking it off and replacing the gasket, one thing that baffled me was i had 1 bolt left over, looked exactly the same as the ones that hold sump on, but must of checked it about 10 times and couldn't find where this bolt came from?
  10. mine turned up today.. thanks very much 8)
  11. i don't really like the seats either, there is too much plastic on modern seats, they almost like a kids seat/toy
  12. then again my bro has an astra coupe edition 100 and thats more or less the same idea as a storm, alloys, leather, paint. i'd rather buy the lesser model if the engine is the same and buy my own alloys and interior
  13. i had this after adjusting the steering column for the first time, it really fooked me off. i just got a rag folded in half and stuck it in the gap you see behind steering wheel and cleaned it all, then put a tiny bit of grease on with a screwdriver. i think its to do with the contact for the horn mech
  14. not that it matters now because i've done it now, but i had to remove my sump to get the wishbone bolts out? is that right? or was i being a plum?
  15. they are the standard 15" rims, it has gone down quite a lot, i did measure before and after and it was 38mm lower straight off the axle stands, then sunk abit more after driving a little way
  16. i wondered if the rubbber bits were there for a reason?
  17. this is -40mm on weitec springs, just been changed to Pi springs and it pretty much the same height
  18. can anyone confirm that if i get passat calipers i use the existing brake hoses? or what do i buy if i want better hoses?
  19. i don't know anything about it yet  am just going to buy everything and get it done, got someone who can help if i get stuck but should be qutie straight forward i hope
  20. i should be servicing some front and rear calipers soon with the rebuild kits, i'll try and get a list of part numbers, costs and some piccys
  21. i am also now thinking of buying this? did you get round to ordering? i would be looking at them for a 288mm caliper too
  22. i'd get it fixed, no way would i split it for an engine failure, if not find a buyer for it and admit the loss
  23. yes, thats it, VAG/scorpion 5000
  24. i just paid £55 each for VR wishbones from VW :) they come with all the bushes
