Thats what i wanted to get, might buy one in the future sometime, i struggled to find places to use it, didn't fancy joining a club etc

What are the symptoms? Whereabouts does he think it might be cracked and what sort of extent has he diagnosed it? i.e: has he just looked under the bonnet or stripping the engine down at all?
-
Very Nice indeed!! Could probably buy a corrado for the money

Its actually been around for years, If you watch Jay Leno on youtube he has been using for 15yrs or so. I looked into it a lot as my engine block is all new and thought it was be nice for the no corrosion thing, which is another interesting thing shown on the Jay leno review. (worth a watch) I've ended up deciding not to use it, for cost and for the top up reasons, i don't fancy having to carry it around with me, nor making sure i have some in case i need to drain the system to replace something. It doesn't make the engine run cooler and when compared with water it doesn't transfer heat as well. The main bonus is there is no pressure so less chance of popping a hose etc, (although i never suffered with that until i went to jubliee clips, hence going back to the spring clamps). Am sure i read somewhere it puts more strain on the water pump as well. Something else i read about it is that because you have no pressure, if something went wrong that would normally pop something you wouldn't know, it will just overheat (unless you constantly watch the gauge). It can also be more flammable, was a review of tests done by pouring it on a hot manifold, although some say normal coolant can do the same once the water steams away. (sounded more applicable to race cars etc) I think for a normal(ish) road car de-ionized water and VW coolant is fine.

I actually bought one of those mini matchbox car sized rc cars to drive around my desk at work, they come in a coke can sort of thing..
-
They remind me of this from the back

Cheers. I had a look at the wiring but looked a pain and decided it must be a two man job.

I bought an FG Marder from Kev on here, sold it now though, was crazy but every trip out meant having to replace something i'd broke  And had a 1:10 Skyline, which i also sold now

I think the cause of the rust is the water coming off scuttle tray and then runs into the inner wing through a pipe. Both sides on mine are like it, in fact the other side was much worse but i've not got there yet so expecting to have to cut quite a bit of metal out.

Nothing interesting or shiny to report! Decided to take the stonechip off the sills, just want to get rid of any rust and this seemed a good idea at the time. Took stone chip off with a chisel, also took the rub strip off as found rust on the front edge of door and the bottom edge (thinking i might take the doors off) Not sure how easy that is? Found a hard patch^^^^ and turned out to be filler. Sanded through it, took ages by hand Turned out to be a tiny dent, i think it had been repaired years ago and someone used filler to make up the level of the stonechip Rust at the front edge, i did have a mate weld this for free about 2-3yrs ago, but it wasn't very good and rusted out already. Took wing off again Rust hole!! Got a repair section this time so going to have it repaired properly. Panel is massive, not bad for about £40

ChrisL i think

Think a guy bought it and had it up for sale quite soon after and got a load of grief about it from Jim
-
Yeah, it does have a drain screw at the bottom
-
Shows up in these pics, i haven't fitted engine to car yet though.
-
I got mine 2nd hand off the forum so was cheaper than normal, and its the stealth one in a black crinkle finish so not shiny. Makes it look like i'm a serious engine tuner though so i like it

I've ditched mine and fitted a 42Draft or Draft42 oil catch can.
-
I think the white bit is different on the in pros, i took some apart and found i couldn't use them in the standard lights
-
They do get old and bend. I've had it twice now. Just about to fit a new fork. Used a second hand one last time and they both bent at same place
-
Oh, thats a bummer, what master cylinder did you go for? They are quite expensive iirc
-
Make sure its not getting caught on the plastic trim parts of under dash shelving, as i've done that before, drove like it for a while before finding out.
-
Could try turning the steering. Can somethings help.
-
Found a pic. You need to zoom in but you can just see it to the far left of pic
-
3rd is as said. Goes on inner wing. Is either the headlight resistor or sonesomething near carbon cannister
-
Also worth checking the rear axle bushes i had some strange steering and found the bushes were totally buggered.
