  1. I've done that before and some kits come with connections to allow the red and yellow to join
  2. Can you edit or update the existing card?
  3. You did well to find a vr6 badge for the grill
  4. Amazing how much better it looks with the correct grill.
  5. I found opening the bonnet straight after a hard drive helps spot small leaks. Use a torch to look for steam.
  6. Rust is a weight saving feature, its between steel and carbon fibre.
  7. I nearly sent them off to Bigred for a refurb, but was going to cost something like £200, so went with the £35 option. Have tried hammerite in the past and a spray on VHT caliper paint but both didn't last too well (could of been my prep work though)
  8. Not seen one for years, but spotted one on the A120 near Braintree on Friday afternoon, only caught a glimpse looked like a dark coloured VR, reg was M77 something
  9. I binned those little clips on mine, they were so rusty and forgot to order new ones, plus they made it a git to get the filter off. I just used some washers.
  10. Not been up to much on car the last couple of weeks, Spent ages cleaning up the calipers to paint (again) (3rd time lucky) Bought this kit to try this time: http://www.frost.co.uk/por15-caliper-painting-kits.html Cleaned up calipers, Rear weren't that bad and bought new carriers for them The metal prep and ready spray is meant to help eat rust and leaves a zinc coating The paint (nasty stuff, still got it all up my arms/hands, nothing seems to remove it, even acetone. Took about 5hrs as the kit comes with brushes and you have to do 3 coats in total. A little lumpy but it'll do, i think it was too hot when i painted them so paint started to thicken as i was applying it
  11. I wouldn't go with just one nut to hold it on. I could see it moving up and down and over time might cause an issue
  12. Mine is plastic and when i was under car i noticed i have 4 studs on the floor for the filter housing. Thought it was odd as two look welded on. I wonder if some one in the past has fitted two more for the reason you say. I never knew there was a metal housing. Should be fine fitted at an angle the pipes are flexible where they enter as exit the filter
  13. Bummer. Happened to a guy at work and did the whole side of his eos like that. Can bet the deer didn't have any insurance or mot. Did it do a runner?
  14. They was somewhere with loads of articles posted a while back. Not sure if it was on forum or the world wide web
  15. I seem to prefer photos like this to complete cars  Some major work there, hats off to you, is also nice to see inside the arches/sills as been doing the rust on mine (not as major as yours). Seems to me like the fuel tank area rusting a little can lead to all that arch rust as the water gets inside the two skins.
  16. ECP do TRW Track rods http://www.eurocarparts.com/track-rod-and-track-rod-end
  17. I tried by hand with sandpaper but didn't get too far, there was a company called Lake Country or something similar that did a glass polishing kit but the chips on the corrado glass can be quite deep so not sure how well it would work.
  18. I try buy the bits that VW buy in and sell on at an inflated price. £280 for a sachs clutch kit from VW, £100 for the exact same from eurocarparts. When i first got the corrado i listened to the "only buy parts from VW" crew on here, but over the years i've found i was getting ripped off by VW. I've done over 100,000miles since owning the car and replaced most parts, some twice and not had any problems due to non-genuine parts. Certain bits i do only buy from VW, but depends on the part, Wheel hubs and CV joints i got from VW, just took a chance on FEBI bearing. Am sure VW had obseleted brake discs, pads and bearing last time i went.
  19. Not had an issue with my beru leads i bought years ago. Done at least 50,000miles with them.
  20. Lots of companies hey bought up and the new owner will keep the name everyone knows and trusts. But gets everything made in China as cheap as possible. My new fuel filter from vw had made in China on it and the VW stamp next to it. Could of got the same one from eurocarparts for cheaper.
  21. I'm thinking of getting a quadcopter. Had a small one for ages. Chap at work bought in the dji phantom 3 and i loved it but not sure how long it will be fun for.
  22. Am sure trw make the steering rack etc. I've bought bits from dealer with trw on them. Am sure of it. Will look tomorrow as i know my track rod ends were from vw
  23. Every picture of him he puts on this mongy face, what a complete dick i think he is.
  24. I enjoyed the film, John Travolta was brilliant.
