Might want to make sure your using your regular fuel.

You need some sort of oil cooler, have seen quite a few people fit a front mount radiator type one, but just seems like extra hassle, extra pipework etc. Standard one has worked fine on my VR for 20yrs and 220,000miles.

Am not sure what it is, i ended up using the acetone and being very careful. Not finished but got most of it off last night, still little bits here and there. (needs a polish too) The side i haven't done yet....

There is a procedure for it somewhere on the forum -

I think you just leave the battery disconnected for a while so ECU forgets -
I've never seen the small one out of those three. You need the two larger ones, the round profile one with little lugs on it, and the square profiled one. They go on each side of the cooler.

Going out there in a bit for another attempt.

Just thinking you may need to reset the ecu. -
VR6 idle stablilisation valve disconnected - car runs better?

It has a little motor type affair in it, it makes an opening smaller or larger. I think if its faulty the car will use other sensors to work out an idle speed, which ends up being a bit higher than normal. -
mmmm. it does peel off in tiny little bits

I've tried white spirits but it didn't seem to shift it, tried the heatgun and a blow torch  The only thing that seemed to do it was acetone but that also takes the paint off :(

That weird coating that's on the suspension turrents. What's the best way to get it off? Doesn't seem to melt off with heat. I thought it was a wax but maybe not.

RM Auctions back in September. Better investment than houses some of these old cars.

Show looks amazing, really wish i'd gone now, maybe next year with the corrado.
-
Wonder if that's the one that sold for £140,000 recently.

Am swapping all my jubilee clips back to spring type clamps. They are much better. I keep meaning to post up all the sizes you need.

Corrado cutting out at junctions - checklist of possible cures?

Are any fuses blown? -
The wiring does pass through the same area as the fog light wiring. Could be quite easy for it to get trapped if the front end has been off. Or could be chafed there, should be s rubber gromit in the holes. My horn broke and blew a fuse. I replaced the fuse and horn stopped working again so replaced the horns and has been fine since. Shame they are so hard to get to.

Nice one. Will be making a start on this next. As far as removing original alarm is it just remove all the hardware and wiring or do I need someone to do something with ecu. I have vcds.
-
Thought I'd post in this thread rather than the one I made. When I remove the standard corrado abs wiring. Do I need to cut the looms open and re tape them up? Not looked in car too much. Mainly just the bay. I also want to remove alarm and the air con black temp wiring. Rather than have taped up connectors everywhere.

Excellent. Look forward to seeing it. Where avoid are you from?

 I've only just fitted the Dave Shortshift kit, i take it that would be no good if i had O2J stuff? (not even tried it out yet)
-
Can it be rebuilt at all?
-
I too am wondering this. The shift tower. I bought some parts but not sure if they are for that or the bit in car?
-
I like it high, too many cars on the road as it is, hopefully it puts the gippos off driving unless they have to.
