having read through this whole thread i'm in a total dilemna about what to do.... at the mo i've got koni t/a's & eibach springs on 17's which will soon be getting swopped for 16s as i'm finding the current set up at bit crashy/harsh but hopefully the 16s will make a bit of a difference ( or will it?). ideally what i would like is something between standard & what i've got with better damping as i use my car every day. i'm not too fusssed about how low it sits, something between 25-40mm will be fine. as i bought the suspension kit 2nd hand i've no idea if it's usually this crashy or it's just worn so my dilemna is..... buy new koni ta's with h&r springs which seems to be a popular choice fit coilovers but don't know enough about them so not sure what kinda ride they'll give (any advice on which ones to go for would be great) just fit new h&r springs onto my konis & hope for the best i've put 400-500 quid aside but i want to get it right first time. basically i'd like something that won't make me wince everytime i see a pothole but not make the car look like it's on stilts! any help/advise would be greatfully recieved as my heads battered trying to work out what to do for the best.....

thought that might've made the top 50 german cars list on msn last week but it must've just been listed at 51

great! another corrado in the newcastle area, i've been feeling like 'i am legend dude' coz i never see them anymore! hopefully see you about, would love a spin in a g60 as it's the only one i've never owned.... -
looks sweet mate, good luck with the mods. as for the wipers, it's the arms that are crap so it doesn't matter what wipers you use. get yourself some lupo gti aero wipers & arms, they make a massive difference. you can usually find them for sale on ebay for about 70-80 quid. think the seller i used was called lesbray, hope that helps..

just had koni t/a's with eibach springs fitted to my car & the back end seems to be sitting lopsided. there's a bigger gap above the passenger side wheel than the drivers. did a search & saw a few mentions or circlips, does that adjust the ride height? also i'm wanting to drop the front end a bit, is that done the same way with the circlips? bought 'em off a guy on here & i think they're adjustable but cant find the original advert! doh! cheers, chaps

only the storms had leather as standard so you'll be looking at buying one of the most expensive examples going! you can get corrados with leather that were either dealer options or retro fitted by their owners. it all depends what your budget is really.

'nien' chance! that's the sum total of german i know & i've probably spelt it wrong!

looks well smart from what i can see from the ickle pics & i do love those wheels! get some more pics up fella & welcome to the forum.

Just waiting for a phone call from the garage...

yeah i know how you feel! just got mine back on saturday after having a few 'little' jobs done only for my wallet to be relieved on just under a grand! tbh i couldn't give a monkeys, i tried to sell it a couple of months ago & the day i was taking it to its new owner it tried to kill me! had a nasty front end smash so it's my way of an apology for threatening to get rid of the old girl in the first place! -
nice motor mate, love silver c's! is it just me or can anyone else see what looks like a ghostly judo suit just above the bonnet in the 1st & 3rd pic? weird!!!

Something about the new Scirocco I like at last

there's a bit of a review over on the msn homepage, they think its fab, 5 out of 5 it got!they even called it a masterpiece of a motor! high praise indeed...... i'm still undecided on it but i do like the green colour it comes in. i'd post the link but i've forgot how to do it! -
looking well smart, loving those wheels! fancy something similar myself, wanting to drop down to 16's after having my koni's fitted. love blackberry c's but then i'm slightly biased! good work fella!
-
i've always loved white corrados & this one just proves how right i was! surprised i've never seen you about mate especially as that last pic looks like its down by baja beach club/buffalo joes on the gateshead quayside, i live a few minutes up the road from there.
-
always had a soft spot for white corrados, they just look so nice! nice work fella, looks like you've got good 'un!

thought i'd do a little update as it's been ages since i've posted! anyhoo, after almost selling my c for reasons i no longer understand only to have a front end smash on the way to its (almost) new owner, i've now got renewed interest in the old girl & have decided that whenever i get a itch for a different car i'm just going to buy something new & exciting for the corrado! at the mo i'm getting koni t/a's with eibach springs fitted on saturday & i've managed to get my hands on a full black leather interior so that'll be getting put in next week. fitted lupo gti wipers too with an aero wiper on the back just to even things up, cant believe the difference these make! i can now drive over 50 mph when it rains! also a mate's breaking a vr6 so i've gave him a list of all the bits & bobs i need to replace any parts that are a bit tatty. feel like a kid in a sweetshop, basically everything is there & i've got first dibs! thought i'd post a few pics of the car after the crash & how she's looking now, not great pics but you get the idea. i'll be adding more once i get the suspension & the leather fitted.

similar thing just happened to me a few month back, i said from day one i wanted my car back as the damage was only the wing, bonnet, bumper & headlight. they wrote my car off (cat c) but agreed with my valuation of the car once i provided evidence of the condition of it, pictures, service history & i sent adverts from pistonheads & autotrader of cars of similar age & condition. if you can be there when the valuer comes to view your car have a word & tell him it's your pride & joy & you can easily fix & hopefully he'll just give a cat d. the insurance company agreed my car was worth over 4k & said they'd take 25% salvage value off the payout so i got my car back & a cheque for over 3k & it only cost me about a grand to fix it! oh & don't let them take your car away, get the assessor to view it while your there. mine was safely stored in the garage who looks after my car & despite me telling they are not getting their hands on my car they tried 3 times to collect it without my permission! dread to think what might've happened to it! just stick to your guns & say you want it back, as long as the chassis's not bent or twisted it'll be an easy fix & i'm sure you'll be able to pick up the parts you need off here, breakers yard & even ebay. good luck, i'm sure it'll work itself out for the best

i had a bump in my vr6 & got a late g60 slam panel but it didn't fit. from what i can remember the vr6 slam panel has a kink in one of the thin bars coming down from the top of the panel to the bottom. think its the one to the left of that black thing (horn maybe?) next to the centre bars in your pic. so i think valvers & g60s are the same but vr's don't fit, something to do with the radiator position on the vr rings a bell. hope that makes sense......
-
yeah you'll def need the full power one, like i said my g/f's got a nsr but restricted & it's fine for bombing about but as soon as you hit a decent incline then it doesn't have the power to get up at a decent rate of knots & you get cars right up your arse! never had that problem on my tzr but then i've always had 2 strokes & know how to keep them in the 'band'! i've only ever sat on an aprillia but they feel a much bigger bike than nsr's & tzr's, tried to get my g/f to buy the aprillia but she prefered the colour of the honda! women....... as for the dangers i really wouldn't worry, as long as your careful & take your time you'll be fine. with a bit of experience you'll see potential hazards before they occur & ride accordingly to avoid them. good luck anyway, i'm sure you're gonna love it!
-
which aprillia do you fancy? i'd guess you've been looking at the rs125, i really like them as they look a lot bigger than a 125. as a cheap means of transport you cant go wrong & if you get a derestricted one then they are little flying machines, although you're not supposed to be riding one if you've just passed your CBT! i've been looking for a 125 2 stroke myself just to get to & from work & leave the 750 for weekends & longer journeys. my g/f has just bought a nsr125 which is loads of fun but restricted & you can really tell the difference, i had a full power tzr about 5 year ago & it felt sooo much faster but then it was knocking out over twice the horsepower! i'd definitely go with a 2 stroke if you're getting a 125 as 4 stroke engines that size just don't move! ( i'm sure there'll be folks that disagree but you speak as you find ) i'm just amazed more people aren't considering this as the price of petrol is just mental & you'll probably get 60-70 mpg & the tax is only 15 quid a year for a 125! never getting stuck in traffic is a major thing for me, i get so stressed sitting in traffic but on a bike you just breeze through the middle & get home relaxed & in time for cbbc! obviously there's the danger element of riding bikes but if you didn't take a few risks every now & then it would be a very boring place to be!
-
going to have a look at a black leather interior tonight for my vr & might try to strike a deal but need to know what price standard black cloth interiors including door cards go for. mines in really good nick with only slight wear to drivers bolster & a ciggie burn on back bench but otherwise still really smart. just a rough guide price will do, hoping he'll take my interior as part ex!
-
you could maybe continue on the bike colour scheme & go yamaha blue, i love the colour of R1s & R6s or even mix it with ktm orange!!!
-
another smashed in corrado.......all fixed!!!!!!!

going to collect my car tonight & i'm so ridiculously excited!!!! car's been ready since tuesday but i've been away on a training course ( hows that for bad luck ) my girfriend is almost as excited as me, thinks she likes the purple beast more than she lets on!!! ( no puns regarding last statement please!! :D ) it's a weird feeling, haven't been in it for over two months & i've hardly even seen it so it feels like when i bought it in the first place!!! anyhoo, i'll get some pics up in the next day or two & hopefully she's looking as good as she was before the crash!! i think a long drive is in order tonight, the poor thing's been locked away for too long! -
ice grey violet pearl, my favouritist colour!!! i'd love another one that colour but the old blackberry beast has really grown on me! keep up the good work fella, you've got it looking well smart!
-
i've always lusted after a storm when i didn't know what they were simply because it was a 'storm' & there was something mystical :norty: about them but i've been lucky enough to own an ice grey violet & a blackberry c which in my opinion look better so for me if you can get a better spec'd c in a nicer colour for less then it doesn't make sense! but then i can see why people would like to own one of the last c's produced but i'm sure this has all been said many times before..........
-
think i've spotted the difference between vr & late model slam panels, the late model ones have two straight bars coming down more or less when the headlights would be & vr ones have one straight on the right as you look at it & the left one has a kinda dog leg bend in it. fingers crossed i'm right otherwise i could end up with a rather large collection of slam panels! if someone could confirm this for me it would be greatly appreciated!!
