Sorry to keep bumping my thread up but I just gave the beast a clean and i'm quite proud! I actually think I am adicted to taking pictures of my car, it's pathetic! (me not the Rado!). Gave her a good clean with some old car wash soap and then cracked open the Meguairs NXT wax, what a result. Used it with the Meguiars Cloth thing and there's an amazing shine (pics do the talking) aside from the little dings and chips here and there it looks like i've had a respray! So I highly reccommend the stuff. :thumbleft: Also the whole job only took me 90 minutes. I'll go over the black plastic tomorrow with some shoe polish I think.. I reckon you could almost draw a map of my street from the reflections in the pictures! A prize to the person who can tell me the make and model of the car parked next to mine. :)

Loose clamp or worn terminal could be the answer. Especially if the light flickers more when you rev the engine.
-
The reason the one in the top picture is on a very flat airfield type place is because it's so low it's impossible for it to go anywhere else. It's trapped I tell ya! :)
-
Thanks, TBH I don't think i'll ever polish anything ever again, it was a right frickin hassle! double-6s, you'll need to collect all the rest of the OBD2 stuff for it to be any use to you mate! :) EDIT: No polishing with the exception of paintwork, got some Meguiars NXT wax today so the car is going to be seriously shiny on Sunday...

Welcome to the forum! :) That is one red looking Corrado there! How are you finding Corrado ownership?
-
Get them kev, definately time you got rid of those awful speedlines... ;)
-
Wouldn't make any difference would it? Tyres are thicker thicker to compensate...
-
The only place I have rust (and I know others have this problem) is on that stupid rear no. plate light thing! I think they are cheap to replace form VAG though...
-
...and an R32 badge  I would imagine you'd be looking out for similar things to a Rado, what type is it?
-
Seems unlikely that there were only a handful seeing as this thread alone can account for quite a few! Personally I think it's all\propaganda started by Walesy to try and make his ride more special. ;)
-
Or R32. Not a cheap conversion but rebuilding your 2.9 seems like an expensive job when folk like Stan are getting whole 24v conversions done for 3k all in. :)

Ok finished doing the inlet manifold. As I said before i'm not trying to get it perfect, and it isn't. But it is a lot better then the normal grey stained manifold and I guess it'll brighten up the engine bay a bit when its fitted! I'm not planning on polishing anything else right now. I'll bring the manifold as it is along to the Cornwall meet this Sunday 19th so everyone can have a look. :)

Yep good look. Standard lights look best on yellow definately. Side strip is essential as well because it splits up the colour. Looks like you used the good ol' brush tool in paint to put that one on tarche2 ;) :)

Yeh he was heading that way. Didn't wave or flash as we were in the girlfriends car.

Which tyres - Goodear F1's or Conti Sport Contact 2's?
Trig replied to matth76's topic in Drivetrain
Kind of already a thread for tyres mate... http://the-corrado.net/.archive/forum/viewtopic.php?t=25311 Deserves a sticky IMO. -
I reckon you could get £300 for them.
-
I also drove past a green M reg something (had a red grill badge) yesterday at about 5.30. It was heading along the A39 towards Wadebridge. Quite low as well, male driver.
-
Got a text from the missus today at 5.30ish.. 'I've just passed the Yellow Corrado!' Told her yesterday Walesy had bought a Yellow G60, she thought it sounded cool. So i'm guessing it was you Walesy? She passed you near Hendra holiday park..
-
That is pretty much slammed. Probably the best thing to do is find out who couldn't roll last time (think there were a couple) and check their ride height to see how it compares with yours. Good luck :)
-
Yes it does help, try doing a search for 'engine AND mount'. Think your other question has been answered in your other thread... HTH

Well 1st weekend of driving is now complete.......
Trig replied to tarche2's topic in General Car Chat
ardandy, Stealth charge around £550 for that setup, that includes bump stops & topmounts. Well worth it. If you're getting the job done I reckon you'd be crazy not to get H&R springs fitted at the same time, 30mm drop isn't much but the car feels so much better. :D tarche2, glad you're happy ;) -
 Stan wishes...
-
15s! Nah just kidding. I've done quite few searches on this before. General consensus is 15s for handling, 17s for looks, 16s for a good compromise. I'm looking to buy 16's. I also think if the car isn't low enough 17's can look a bit poo, 16's you can get away with.

Looks very nice but i'm not liking the all clear rear lights, go standard or all red I reckon... Also good whel choice :)
