  1. Loza, http://www.the-corrado.net/.archive/forum/viewto ... 5&start=60 For a picture of an interior (The red one!).
  2. KADVR6, How much did you actually get from the insurance company in the end? Or do you not know yet. I'm with brentacre, would like to know if they've done a good job for you or not. :)
  3. So it is essentialy an upside down wing which I would imagine must contribute something at 100mph..? And does the profile of cars generate lift? I would have thought oncoming air hitting the windscreen & bonnet would act to push the car down?
  4. I've had 2x 2CV's, well the first one was my Dad's - lovely green 'Bamboo' model. Second one was mine, red & white with pizza cutters for wheels. Wouldn't start on any sort of hill, facing up or down... and yes, in the winter they were both pretty much useless, you had to crank the engine by hand to start it!
  5. Excellentae, that's a good price for a rebuild... I want a LSD even more now! :luvlove:
  6. 16v, I don't think you wrote all that yourself, now did you?! :-P
  7. But if something is high enough to catch the underside of your bumper it will do it with or without the splitter on.. I'm all up for keeping it on anyway, would look strange without it. :)
  8. Was that at Stealth Johnboy98? Please tell me it was somewhere in Cornwall! :)
  9. Yeh it must have been late '94 onwards for the 50mm, mine is August '94 and has a 90mm.
  10. Well.. they are IMO, which is all that counts really. :)
  11. Yeah I have to say (speaking from no experience of actualy sitting in a Recaro seat) I wouldn't pay extra for a Recaro because the standard ones are so damn good. Mine seem to be in great condition as well, never get any uncomfort even on huge journeys.. Would like to try out a Recaro though. :)
  12. I want one of these more than anything! Not an option at the moment unfortunately but maybe in the summer...
  13. Is it 30mm..? I wasn't sure if it was 30 or 40. Idealy I would like it slightly lower, maybe 50mm but it will probably drop another 10mm over time and I could get some lowering caps which is another 10/15mm. I wanted a good setup that I could afford and really good coilovers are just too much for me at the moment. I wouldn't want to sell myself short my getting something crap just because its height ajustable. Not to say that the Koni/H&R was cheap mind you but the ride & handling is awesome, plus the height is a lot better than stock. If you can aford it and being low is important then go for a nice set of coilies, konigsports at the least, H&R's would be nice - kev reckons they are good. The feel probably wont be much better though. If I eventually get a set of 17's (or 16's) I would definately like to lower her a bit more but right now she's looking good on the 15's.
  14. I thought rear ones were all about creating downward force @ the rear of the car...
  15. Leave it red. Its not like you haven't got many shiny things! :)
  16. Sounds (geddit?) like it's an ultrasonic one. Is the alarm actually going off or sounding a warning?
  17. Yeah I did mean the conveniently placed tissues :)
  18. Welcome :D Firstly the Buying Guide is a must read, loads of info in there. Prices for VR6's are very low at the moment, but they do vary a lot depending on how well the vehicle has been treated! Be prepared to travel, it really is worth it. Check the For Sale section because there are often bargains in there & they come from Forum members so you know the car has been loved. In some cases there may be a history of the car in the Members Gallery. If the car has been lowered then the wheels should be correcly alligned. Good Luck!
  19. Thanks mate, yep the speedies are staying for the time being. I do eventualy want to change them but because they are in such good nick it'd be a shame to take them off! I was the same about colour, didn't want a green car, was after black or grey. Even when I picked it up I wasn't completely satisfied.. but it's grown on me a lot and I don't think i'd change it for anything else now. :)

    oil

Best thing to do is search by author, and search for oilman. He is the resident oil expert and has posted loads of nuggets of information for us. I would imagine (if the viscosity ratings are the same in the states) you would be after something like a 15w-50 because your in a hot climate... but i'm no expert!
  21. As does faded black plastic! On a red car it would look crap but on darker colours it's barely noticeable.
  22. So is that suede on that wheel??
  23. :notworthy: Wowsers... if that was my interior i'd need tissues in the centre console too! ;) Very very special indeed. :D
  24. Yep mines cracked. I was thinking about colour coding it but I reckon it'll get such a beating it's really not worth it!
  25. Yeh sounds likely, I had the same problem. You get a reverberating at a specific rev range, easily fixed as well :)
