  1. but we have all done it! be honest. from time to time its fun to see the little boy racer cars cain you, and some times (most often) see you cain them lol. Remember the face of a mazda 323 driver when i killed him off the lights even though i didnt even intend to race but after green decided what the hey.....lol
  2. The problem here is not enough chrome/shininess/fat wheels/ leather interior........... .................wait a sec! This car has it all!!! Very nice mate, I would agree with wing mirrors and i may be tempted to change the front end, rally maybe??

    Which tyre?

not sure if you are into second hand but worth a look based on price: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/2-x-KUMHO-215-45Z ... dZViewItem
  4. your problem is you have peaked to early  look at all those cool cars you have had (well maybe not so much the last one  its like girlfriends, if you start with a fantastically beautiful one you will only regret it in later life when the more recent girl friends just don’t shape up!
  5. if worst comes to worst, you couldalways try a washer followed by a star washer (one that cuts into stuff) followed by the arm. then a star washer under the top nut.
  6. yeah sorry i meant the new shape, but dont think they do the 182 or a 'sporty' one yet, but in not to up on my french cars. still go for it (orange all the way!!)
  7. i have used black ahmmerite (smooth) and it worked out no problem and the wheels are still on my mates mk3 and have yet to have the paint fail in anyway.

    Which tyre?

712's all the way as they ate traction rated the same as toyo t1-s/ f1s etc. also i have never usd falken but have not had the best reports. My dads merc running close to 300bhp has 712s on the back and the dont spin up untill you give en some good welly, also used them on a celica/bmw 320 and liked em the forum is getting slow these days
  9. Well I like the orange ( i also love nug yellow!!!!) and don’t see anything wrong with a the French C (see what I did there ), i would however get a newer on as they look spot on However im sure the higher spec of the 182 will make up for any misgivings I have about the lower models. I have a mate that now drives 300bhp+ roos and radicals and he used to swear by the Williams so the 182 is basically just the replacement. go for it (only in orange!)
  10. purple....emmm..... corrado () probs a VR heading out of newcastle over the Redheugh Bridge. I gave a wave and got one back, looked quite low and had 17" i think. :-)
  11. halfords mounting tape is oddly strong, tried to pull my brow off today but couldn't (well i could have but i was mainly testing its staying power). the only time i have lost a brow was when using screws....Im gonna wait till next show season for one of these as they will be extra cheap. a simmilar affect can be achived with a normal brow and badgeless grill. ill try to post a pic later.
  12. yeah as the guys say im fairly sure you would get away with it but its your risk if you ever run into a nast chopper/have a sid crash and the ins company picks up on it etc. you could stick those sticky ones on the bottom of the mirror wouldnt be able to see em and woud look quite cool. also off topic but roccos rule!!! 8)
  13. My mk1 used to have an intermittently loud tappet. think it was just due to it being old (not the orig motor was like a 92 motor). always used to go away if i hammered the crap out of it  any luck finding tdc? you could always pop plug 1 out and use a very long stick type thing to show you when the piston was tdc.
  14. yep if car was made with them on then you have to have em. (in this country anyway). My onld scirocco storm (1984) didnt have any and it was cool! but they dont look so bad, just get some nice full black ones..
  15. if you are on a budget you may conider boge turbo gas, which i have had on my last scirrocco and my corrado. they are meant to be 30% uprated. I can deff feel the diff when pulling them by hand and also when on the car. Gsf do them. I will just say i only have std springs on the corrado but did have 60mm lower on the S.
  16. dont the koni's have adjustable rear spring seats? could have one on the high setting and one on the lower... worth a look :-)
  17. they should do tours! would be fantastic walking in an motor - like the crappy film inner space
  18. andi (site admin/mod guy) on here has them (i think) so hey may know where to get em
  19. should be a pointy bit like \/ cut into the bell houseing case. look at it from the right and you should see it on the lift.
  20. they 'forgot' to bill me for 6 months then slapped my with a huge bill. wouldn’t even give me any time to pay it off or money off. I know i should check my bank more closely but i dont. All i wanted was a reasonable length of time to pay it off or a discount but ended up paying it back over the last 6 months a a huge rate! the even admitted it was there fault! but they were the cheapest
  21. both very nice! look like the americans are getting back to basics and makeing some ood cars again (or at least planning to )
  22. what make of springs and shocks up front?
  23. seems fine, if not the same as the vag one. if it dies take it back and they will change it...but hey for 2.50 or something extra go vag (they were closed on newyears eve when i needed onr so i went halfords)
  24. vac leak? cant think of a way of checking., i get the same thing
