ball joints as the rack end! I had the same problem and replaced my driverside track rod a few weeks ago seems to have sorted it :-D not the hardes thing to do in situ with a good 34mm spanner.

Hey guys thanks for the help! I did buy a new black sensor, but I think id have been better off with a brown one as the black is to high i think. ill post the number later just incase anyone has this again. The vdo sender is currently replacing the low pressure one so it should be fine. When I fixed the led in the dash I also ended up playing with the wires and getting them the wrong way round so had beeps all the way to work  All sorted now and ill get my £10 back for the new ones! In fact I think ill exchange them for a new header tank!

the only problem i would have with an in car pc is the time it takes to boot when you first get in the car, a chipped xbox may be a good option ;-)

hey guys, hope you can help cos i have tried a search but cant find all i need. :D I did see a good topic about this but could not find it again.. Im replacing the oil switches on my 2L16V. I have got a new white and black one. I have found that the white is high and the black is low pressure switch (i think). My last question is (assuming i got the right colour senders!?!) is which colour wire connects to which sender? the choice is blue and yellow.

with the shop, as dr mat says "a reasonable time", which most retailers will see as around 28 days. with the maker, they should offer at least 1 year. give Denon a ring they are mostly very good with stuff like this. they may well not offer money back. check the terms and conditions in the instruction man.

once you have seen how untidy the casting marks are on the inside of teh ports you will see how you would have to bugger about quite a bit to hurt flow more. long as you dong go silly and just smooth and match the ports you should be fine.

koni ta with standard springs - which platform level?
sciroccotune replied to sciroccotune's topic in Drivetrain
sorted :-) used the mid platform as was same height as the normal shocks. I did have to file the caps (the silver ones top and bottom of the top rubber) as the shocks are thicker than standard, but no big deal. Im running on max soft at the mo and it seems to be right for stock springs. what effect would stiffening the rear shocks a bit have on the rear end? -
could try a few things, 1. take the air filter out and spray into air box with some revs, 2. trap the straw under the rubber boot that attaches to the TB and run with a few revs (not high mind you) and that should work a treat, used to do this on my old k jet cars as they stall when boot off air box...

back and forth is just to avoid swirls - i guess, its less work too (or at lease seems to be ) i rely fancy trying that next wax stuff any one tried it/got pison flash red.

ask to have all the used parts back, just say you wanna put them up on the forum for a laugh. Also have them give you an itemised bill and guarantee! I also agree with above, find out what is wron - have him write it down and let us know.

koni ta with standard springs - which platform level?
sciroccotune replied to sciroccotune's topic in Drivetrain
thats a relief, thanks guys for all the info. i wasn’t sure about it i have to admin. Quick question - should the shock be at full extension when put under upward (spring extension) pressure by the spring or should i aim for somewhere in the middle? -
koni ta with standard springs - which platform level?
sciroccotune replied to sciroccotune's topic in Drivetrain
oh dear.....well i best check tomorrow. hopefully the lowest will be fine. if not i will have to use shorter springs or longer shocks  -
hello chaps, with regards to te rear of the car, i am putting on my koni TAs with standard springs so i was wondering which platform level to use. It will probs be clear when i get the old ones off but just checking. cheers

Fitting mk4 handbrake gaitor+TT gearshift/surround
sciroccotune replied to BigTartanJudge's topic in Interior
do you know which seats are in that pic? -
i guess it could, but i would be asking what is wrong with the head. is it cracked? really badly warped? etc...... are they just going to put a new head on instead of rebuilding it? a new head sould be fairls cheap. plus gasket (around £20), head bolts (max £20 they are only £1 from ECP), cambelt (£10) tensioner (£10) And the work done by the garage which could cost lots, would take me around 7 hours of easy work to do the head. garage should really get it done in less time. All prices are approx I have to say its been a while since I did the last head.
-
how is it blown? skimming the head should not cost much. bent valves dont normally destroy the head, just the seats if anything.
-
cheers i was just wondering how to addjust them. hopefully i will have mine by the weekend. Im guessing its best to drive round with out the speaker shelf in for a while to get the setting right?
-
best ring round for some quotes before making any decisions. Some places will treat it as the group the engine came from others will ask for mucho denara
-
if its just bent valves i would not get a new motor. valves wont cost much to replace, well far less than new motor being droped in.

hello guys, could i have some pics of rear koni ta shocks installed. im thinking boot open looking in so i can see the adjusters etc. cheers :D
