...just did some research and it would seem the airflow must be towards the engine  Dutch
-
Stupid question but when the fan is mounted behind the radiator I presume it blows the air out the front instead of sucking it in?? Dutch
-
lol, ok. I'll stock up :) When are you over ? Dutch
-
I wish I could afford to mate :( One day, and then we can compare turbo vs supercharged 24v's :) Dutch
-
Yes Stanley stop jabbering and get on with it :D You're bay is looking very sexy there though Will. Are you bringing her over when you visit the dam?? Dutch
-
 ...once you've dabbled, no matter how hard you try, i've heard you can't go back. You're just kidding yourself with your new young pert bit on the side mate. Dutch
-
...and who *pretended* to buy one may I ask?  Dutch

...the black manifold was Mr. Coxylaad's work I believe btw 8)
-
Hopefully she'll be running within a month, ...hopefully :) I'm going to leave the manifold like it is and wrap the ignition wires with black self-adhesive tape. The clocks and everything should just be plug'n'play as the loom has already been modified to fit the Corrado. I just have to figure out what plugs back into what as I've removed the fusebox :? Dutch

Update :)

bigpants baby, Thanks!! Dutch
-
 ...that is damn close :) Thanks for the pics mate. Much appreciated :) What does yours look like then pig pants :norty: Dutch
-
I think so based on what Coxy said as the ECU uses that switch to hold the revs a little when chaging gear. Dutch
-
No worries mate, thanks! I did think about chopping a bit of the fan housing, but not sure if that would leave enough room for engine movement or not. Curious how much space there is between yours when stationary. Dutch

The R32 intake is different though so may be that's why you didn't have any problems? Stan, wouldn't mind some picturtes of yours then if possible? Dutch
-
CorradoVR6-n.o.s, Sounds easy enough. How does it wire in though as the oe fans have 2 connectors and 3 speeds? I'm interested in the 12 inch one provisionally, but need to sort some funds first as it's end of month for me. Would the end of next week be ok? Dutch
-
Phat, the rad fans foul on the 24v intake manifold. Same problem I've just discovered this afternoon. Dutch
-
Stan24v, are you using the original VR fans then? Dutch
-
bigpants baby, Yep  Any pics of your setup? How much are you asking for the 12" Spal CorradoVR6-n.o.s ? Any pics too btw? How hard/much work is it to make the brackets then? Dutch
-
I need a bit of help if possible. Does anyone know the torque of the 9 bolts that hold the 24v intake manifold to the head? Thanks, Dutch
-
It would seem I spoke to soon about clearance issues as the 24v intake manifold fouls on the VR fan assembly :( Does anyone manufacture a bolt on slim-line fan for the Corrado VR6 radiator, or is it a question of getting one and making some brackets to mount it? Any recomendations? H&RRA, was it you selling some a week or so back? If not who ever it was do you still have them? Cheers, Dutch

Aux. water pump also runs of the same fuse/circuit as the internal ventilation motor btw. Think it uses this circuit for the after run cycle. It has two feeds anyhow, one via the fuse in the controller, and one from the main fuse board via said fuse/circuit. I replaced my ventilation fan motor and controller before finding out the aux. water pump uses the same circuit. I replaced that and the fuse stopped blowing. Dutch

Just got the VR delivered back to the house today from having the DP/exhaust and accelerator pedal bracket done. They've done a fantatsic job I must say. Will post up some pics over the weekend. One interesting point that came out of it is a LHD golf 4Motion DP fits a LHD Corrado perfectly, without any modifications at all :) The twin CATS also fit with no problems too, but we decided to not fit the silencer that sits between the CATS and rear section. How much sound does that silencer silence though? I'm a bit concerned she's going to sound too Chavish without it. I'm using the C OE rear section btw?? They also put new brake/clutch fluid in and fitted the new master cylinder. Along with a new clutch and slave cylinder the clutch pedal now feels feather light :) Coxy, I asked about the 720 NM TT 3.2 Turbo with a DSG box they built while I was there too. They uprated the Clutch with a 6 plate jobbie btw (the OE one is only 3) and it's then good for 750 NM apparently, and it's still running wihthout problems and the guy tracks it regularily too. Dutch

That's been on TV over here for last couple of months. I wondered what the hell it was when I first heard it as I was in the other room and couldn't see the screen :) Dutch

AFAIK they do, but it's electronic like all LHD C's, hence no need for a vacuum 8) Dutch
