kill for a pair of recaro A8's myself. Cool as F....

not sure how much lower mine is but i've never scraped the sump. Biggest problem i found with a slammed VR is the CAT scraping on everything. If you want to go lower than -50mm you've got bin it. Only real problem i have is unexpected dips in the road causing the front wheels to hit the arch liners and the front spoiler to touch the road. Oooh and the wishbones and subframe collect grass if i have to park on it.

Really shame you had to return it to std would have been nice to see it again. Still think you've done the right thing, silly pouring money into an old VW. Unfortuately think i'm are to far gone to do the sensible thing and chop the VR for a 993  -
 , think your car will generate alot of interest at any show. Get it along to Ultimate Dubs and i'll bet "the Golf+" offer you a feature.
-
Thinking about going, probably in an L200 pick up though. Not sure when i'll be showing my car again to be honest. I've been doing tons of work prepping parts but the car itself hasn't changed since Edition 38, I don't believe in showing my car unless its the best i can do. With the current work in progress doesn't seem right to show it. May roll it out for VWF Leeds or E38 as a one off for this year.

sorry i didn't notice this earlier. Coming along very nicely, hope you take it to a few shows this year. I'd really like to have a good look. lee

one of the all time greats, improved in some areas but going OTT in others now. Another pic.
-
Been out in a VR6T fwd, overwhelming impression was, this thing needs 4x4. Still brilliant seeing peoples faces when it lit up the tyres accelerating from 40mph.
-
Think you need to decide now if your going to add an amp later. If so spend a little on on a head unit with 4V pre outs. Corrado are a knightmare for intereference.
-
Looks like a push in friction fit. Imagine getting the old bush out it a sod tho'
-
Yes, just bought a new starter motor from GSF and it came with a new bush. Its sold on an exchange basis and is refurb's by hella i think.
-
So if i order new corrado cv boots from the dealers, i actually get the new mk5 items? Rebuilding my driveshafts at the moment with new inner and outer CV joints and the boot supplied by GSF are nasty.
-
Its ok, had a load of offers already. Going to stick it on ebay, curious as to what its worth.
-
looks really nice, really you should get rid of the indicators completely but if you'd rather keep them for the MOT, i'd say go for clear std shape ones.
-
just the colour i think. Could talk about this car all day, would be nice to see the GT2 wheels ditched and go back to the turbo splits fully polished. http://www.dtm-info.de/nuerburgring/porsche02.jpg

seen this on the Tex'. Very nice car, looks like its getting much better. Now that people are getting the wheels and stance right enginebays are gonna be big this/next year.

heres a pic of andre's from 2000 pre bodywork by the look of it and sits on 8x17 ZW1's.
-
It was called dark star. Chrome wheels, smooth roof, totally chrome VR6T engine and built in the late 90's. Those are mods people are aiming for now.
-
Its certainly a legend, its been surpassed for power, interior, body but as a package its still the greatest. This one predates andre's but never got feature in a UK mag so is pretty unknown.
-
car cover, its a good one but a garage doesn't blow off in the wind.
-
Yeah, about 4000 of em' registered on here
-
is that the car Matt Heap was selling?
-
For a factory wheel it is very good no question. But its no Momo..
-
its all dead easy stuff, take it to any garage for the working doing then back to the dealer for a service if the FVWSH is important to you.
-
Arrgghh - So does anyone actually have BIG Recaro's in the C
A20 LEE replied to PoorMansPorsche's topic in Interior
No butchering involved. Direct replacement, you need factory recaro subframes for Recaro Speeds which means buying corrado recaro's and throwing the seat bit away.
